I want to show a older shot from my harddrive, but processed at a new way.

The color could be good for the eyes at the moment.:)

Having sort through my harddrive, need to make some much needed space. Came accross this image I took last Summer of the corn fields.

i have oodles of yet-to-be-uploaded diego pix

sooooooooo, apologies for the spammage.

flickr is like my own personal harddrive... sooner or later, everything makes its way over here.

Some oldies from years back. It's interesting how much life has changed. It's interesting how much it hasn't.

Not the worse shot considering so long ago? Taken from the balcony of a places I worked.

Cleaning off old pictures from my harddrive and decided this one was a keeper

Day Two of my work computer not working because it will not recognize the hard drive: A member of our crack IT team invites me to see the innards of my computer and to watch him try what "might work." He removes the hard drive and WHACKS it hard against the desk, turns it over and WHACKS it again. I am told this often works, but, alas, not this time. Still waiting for a new hard drive. One photo a day. (56/366) -- February 25, 2020

One from the archive. Funny the things you find when you're clearing out a harddrive... Brighton, probably 2003

seen in Kruger NP, back in 2008(!)

i came across this photo that has been sitting on my harddrive for ages.

What a beauty...

Die Festplatte, überfüllter Speicherplatz, und doch entdeckt man hin und wieder mal eine interessante Anordnung von Einsen und Nullen... :))

The harddrive, crowded disk space, but every once a while you will find an interesting sequence of ones and zeros... :))

Tools: Aperture, Viveza 2, Pixelmator.

I have no idea what this is exactly, all I know is that it comes from some sort of computer hard drive!

This is an older shot I found on the harddrive and probably the closest I'll get to the beach today. The temperature in Adelaide dropped to a low of 30.2 last night and we're in for another 40+ day today so after sorting some things out for a friend's wedding I'll be spending the rest of the day hiding in the house with fonz and the airconditioning (Donna's working). I might venture out this evening to join the celebrations.

The Perturbed Sanctum

I thought this drive was empty but I did find Data on it. :-)

Wanted to do a blog post on this but my pictures somehow went missing from my harddrive *stabs* so this was the only one I manage to find :(

from an old harddrive

I just couldn't resist! ;-)

Found this in one of my harddrives.. Taken in the Winter

Just found this photo on my harddrive. I saw this backstage at the Sokol Underground in Omaha. In case you're wondering what kind of a sense of humor I have, I find this about the funniest thing in the world.

Browsing through my harddrive I came upon this Canon Powershot S-30 picture of an Italian F-16. It's the only picture I have of this particular one, taken in a time that I shoot slidefilm by the dozens.

This aircraft suffered a mid-air collision with F-16ADF MM7263. The pilots involved, Pier Francisco Grassi (29) and Fabio De Luca (30), survived by using the ejection seat. This happend on may 22nd, 2006.

Norton Utilities is optimizing the harddrive and Abbey slept for about an hour before the end of function chime woke her.

Found this image in my harddrive from my trip up in the north of Scotland this time last year. This was taken from the train.

A subject I've meant to return to for a while, but I didn't want to sacrifice a working drive. I found an old IDE 60Gb drive at the bottom of a box, however, and thought I'd give it a go. Luckily, unlike the last time I did this, the drive had been in perfect order when it was pulled...

I found another one on my harddrive that was good enough to post.

Its one of the close-up shots i did last summer.

Macro Monday: TECHNOLOGY

Thank you DJ HARDDRIVE

a couple of days ago, this upside down man and i returned from a three week trip around guatemala.

i've been slowly downloading and editing through the 5000 photos to my harddrive and i'm completely overwhelmed, not only by the quantity of photos (i shot a lot of sequences for a slideshow), but also by the extensive adventuring we did.

after about two days, traveling from room to room, from city to chicken bus to village to boat to town becomes normal. women carrying 50 pounds balanced on their heads, becoming a minority after a 3 hour plane flight, losing my words and ability to strike up a conversation with strangers, spending minute after minute day after day with this upsidedowncrazyeyed man, all became normal.

now i'm back, flipping through the photos and it all seems so foreign. so abnormal. what a difference a week and a couple hundred miles can make.

anyways, because we kept a travel photo diary, the dozens or so colorful hotel

rooms we stayed in were photographed a lot... and the photos got funkier and

funkier each night.

this room was blue, the sheets were blue, he was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans, the fluorescent light was blue, the stars were blue, the mood was blue. (it was blue da ba dee da ba die).

we had a flashlight handy because the electricity kept going out, so his face is lit with that.

and all of this was about 20 minutes before an earthquake.

san pedro la laguna, guatemala

Back from summer and our nighttime wanderings.

Julia found these in my harddrive and demanded that I upload them. lulz.

"spun" off from my motherboard clock, I decided to turn an old hard drive into a clock too. It originally had two disks, but the clock wouldn't have fit, so I just used one. It's on my wall next to my motherboard clock; the original idea was to "connect" them via an ide cable, but the plug on this is no longer there...

Well, in truth disconnected, my elderly desktop decided to give up the ghost just before Christmas. Originally a Windows 98 upgraded years ago to Windows XP with memory and additional drives added I decided that it really should be retired. Thanks to regular backups little was lost, most of the components will go to a local repair shop to be used as spares whilst the hard drive seen here I removed for secure destruction not having had the opportunity to wipe it.

I did leave my "heart" (my harddrive) in California, but oh well life goes one and as flickr buddy Josh said It's not about seeing the glass half full or half empty but rather looking for the fauce.

To all of you who dropped by and commented on my photos thank you so much . . . the words of encouragement really helps . . .

All the best,

BT Niko

The only benefit of a dead hard drive is the chance to open them up.

Sometimes its good to have to search for something on your harddrive due to al little problem with you catalogue ... so I stumbled over this very old picture:

One of the very few still existing Art Deco Pharmacies in Vienna - "Pharmacy to the white Angels" in Bognergasse, in Vienna's first district.

The building and the interor where made by Oskar Laske, but the hostory ot the pharmcy itself dates back to the 16th century.
