Emus have good eyesight and hearing, which allows them to detect threats at some distance.
The neck of the emu is pale blue and shows through its sparse feathers.They have grey-brown plumage of shaggy appearance; the shafts and the tips of the feathers are black. Solar radiation is absorbed by the tips, and the inner plumage insulates the skin. This prevents the birds from overheating, allowing them to be active during the heat of the day. Source Wikipedia
We’re on the start of the season around here and it’s so much to do!
We have to start Thanksgiving prep! So many cool old/new minis we can ‘cook’ well at least ‘make’ recipes. Choose a good hosting dress. We did pick up a cute theme fabric for the day.
Then pull out all of the Christmas decorations!! Thinking of revisiting the Grinch theme! And well you know I have a thing for bottle brush trees, I couldn’t resist these! And the pink and red ones from a few weeks ago! Thank goodness no really must have this season … BUT there’s Walmart tomorrow!

Hey everyone! I hope everyone I having a fantastic weekend so far (I know I am!) Anyway, I finally took the time to grab hold of my camera, and this is what came from it. Honestly, i'm proud of this. I always used to tell myself that "It's too cold outside, it gets dark too quick, there's nothing to take pictures of.." And really, some of those are true, but most of them aren't. You just have to let your imagination run willd, and have a camera in hand!
Today i'm not doing much. Weekends are usually time for me to be lazy, but if I find something to do.. I guess I'll switch it up ;)

Mini forest in the center of Anemone :) That's what this looked like to me this morning. Yes, it's early and yes, I'm rushing around trying to get ready for work. It's raining this morning with heavier and more rains this afternoon, tonight and tomorrow.....I am going to have to grow webbed feet I believe!! Happy Saturday!!

Im Volksmund wird das Tränende Herz, ähnlich dem englischen lady in a bath, auch als Männchen in der Badewanne bezeichnet. Beim Umdrehen und Aufbiegen der Blüte entsteht das entsprechende Bild. ;-)
In the vernacular is the bleeding heart, similar to the English lady in a bath, also referred to as male in the bathtub. The picture is created when turning over and bending of the flower. ;-)
Any idea what flower are these?...
They have black stems,deep shade colors in red,blue and purple flowers.
They really look cute like ladies in disguise...like wearing.... mustache?!

This Canadian Lynx is one of the animals at Bergeron's Exotic Animal Sanctuary...This was taken back in May when my oldest son Joe and l spent a couple of hours there. The size of their paws are massive and they have such a serene look.. :)
