I know it is a couple hours until Friday, but I wanted everyone to wake up to a nice flower for your Friday! Of course I did it in sepia because I think a rose is absolutely gorgeous in Sepia. Heck, just about anything is great in sepia IMHO.
I want to thank all my friends for being so great and always stopping by and leaving such nice comments about my photography and always being so gracious with the invites and fav's. It's great to have a group of friends like you all!

I was at a conference at the Sacramento Convention Center in the middle of those tall buildings I usually shoot from the Wildlife Sanctuary.
I was on a break and strolling around looking at all of the sculptures and fountains when out of the corner of my eye I saw this bright yellow thing...I do believe it is a wolf in a yellow suit with wolf platform shoes.
I had to get a shot of this and of course no camera...except my trusty iPhone. I removed glare from the windows and added a vignette for fun...oh maybe did a few more things.
Just for a smile and to send you off on your weekend with a laugh I hope.
Off to the doctor again...hoping for good news. I will visit all of you soon, I am still not well, but my mind is working...somewhat :)

We went on a little photo shoot today and stopped for a coffee break. Pumpkin spice...and the foliage behind it...made for an awesome autumn capture! I heart fall and Starbucks! :))
He reminds me of a bouncy ball when he comes flying back to me like this- a lot more boinging than running.

This was taken at the Sydney Botanical Gardens last Sunday. My husband pointed this beautiful bird out to me. I was too busy looking everywhere else around the gardens!!
I think this is a rainbow parrot. I looked up rainbow lorikeet and they have slightly different features. If anyone knows what this beautiful little birdy is let me know and I will update.

So here's the story behind the shot....I had seen many of my contacts take a picture with a hat for the cause of Haiti. I really wanted to do my bit for it...but ofcourse, I got conjunctivitis in the morning, so my vision is pretty blurred today...when I got down to taking pictures with the hat, it seemed like the camera has also got the pink eye :-p basically all my hat pictures came out blurred...no way was I going to give up now, so I added some texture and grain and here it is, my contribution...at the end its the thought and the prayers that count right!! of hats and prayers...for Haiti!

Happy Friday everyone. The sun is finally out today after 3 days of gloom. I went to the beach yesterday, it was windy so the waves were good. Not much else going on there.

I think we all know what this means? FRIDAY!!!! Only 7 1/2 hours till Freedom!!!! Cannot wait, this week was soo long after having a little time off last week!

Happy Fence Friday everyone... yesterday on the way home from our office block, I biked a short cut (probably not wise) but it took me past the end of an ugly train line where they park or maintain trains. Slightly eerie but it takes a mile off my journey home. I had noticed that even the ugliest metal fence in the ugliest of places can produce the prettiest weeds and then produce the prettiest of ugly fences... The Autumn light was great and I stopped carefully with caution three or four times along this fence and took a trilogy of fence images, here is my first one, have a great Fri-Fence-Day and remember beauty can be anywhere if you just take the time....
