Here's the gyals that managed to come home with me in my luggage. Awaiting the rest of my dolls to get shipped here (along with my clothes) but this has got to be the best convention ever probably in the entire galaxy. So much pretty!!! Its hard to pick just one favorite. The experience as a whole was so much fun and the collection was amazing!!!

123 Pictures in 2023 #123 "Happily ever after"
This frog was lounging in the world of gnomes section of the Mercer Botanic Gardens in Houston, TX. It seems he used to be a prince and was turned into a frog by a wicked witch. But the prince was happy to be rid of his nasty mother, the queen, and so lived happily ever after... Or something like that :).
Once again it was an honor to be apart of your big day and capture these moments that'll last you a lifetime. Admittedly I was a bit nervous stepping out of my comfort zone. This was my first wedding. I'm not use to photographing more than one subject at a time. Let alone being in front of crowds of people. Photography will always be my passion. When I hold that camera to my face, and look through that viewfinder I suddenly feel normal like I'm not suffering from a debilitating pain. My passion for photography keeps me pushing on from the pain that I've been marred by. For now I live to capture the stories of the lives that have lived them. As well for the eyes that never lived them. To all those that have showed me support and shared words of encouragement thank you.

You cannot stop time, you cannot slow it down. But you can freeze a moment with a photograph, to cherish for a lifetime. Photographs capture memories & feelings from a lifetime before.. Photographs captured can last forever and be cherished for many many years to come. So when you're struggling with TIME & it seems to be flying by you.. Take a photograph! This way you can capture that moment in time.. And even if it's 30 years down the road.. You can still look at that moment that you froze... and remember that day. You can feel those emotions again, when you look at your photograph. Sometimes if the memory is strong enough, you can even feel the warmth of the fireplace and smell the wood burning.
Photographs are magical & precious. Some people even feel that they 'take from their souls' & they hate having their photo taken. And as a photographer (and model, many years ago).. I can totally understand where those people are coming from.
The power of a photograph can be so strong, depending on what you capture, how important this photo is to you.. and what it stands for.
So when these moments seem to be flying by and you know that you cannot slow them down... CAPTURE THAT MOMENT IN A PHOTOGRAPH, so you will always have that day.

Until these bones give way. Until my breath is dust. And even then, ever after. Ever after.
But ever after is such a long time to wait.
Today's photo tour sends us to the Magic Kingdom for another shot of those awesome fireworks, Happily Ever After. There are so many opportunities to get really great shots during this show. Even if your a novice at shooting fireworks, you will be very pleased on what you see when you go through your shots. Out of a 25 minute show, I was able to get 18 shots that I was very happy with. How many shots do you get that your happy with when shooting fireworks? Have a magical day!
I've fallen off in my Flickr sharing this year, but it's #FireworksFriday and I'm looking forward to having another chance soon to gather some more Disney photos. For now, we'll go back to the beginning of the year, when I found a good spot to watch and capture Happily Ever After in the Magic Kingdom.
I've pretty well settled on shorter exposures, without a neutral density filter, for this show, so getting close enough to see the projections is important. This scene sets up well for that plan.
Fairy tales often paint life as magical, where heroes triumph and dreams come true. But when these stories seep into our expectations, they can sometimes set us up for disappointment. Not every love story is everlasting, not every challenge leads to glory, and life rarely unfolds like the tales we grew up believing.
The idea of "happily ever after" can leave us ill-equipped for the messy realities—failed relationships, unfulfilled ambitions, or struggles that don’t resolve with a neat bow. These fairy tales gone wrong challenge us to reconcile the fantasy of perfection with the beauty of embracing life’s imperfections.
Yet, even in the wake of disappointment, we can carry the essence of magic with us. It’s in the unexpected kindness of strangers, the resilience we find in ourselves, and the moments of quiet joy that remind us life doesn’t need a castle or a prince to be extraordinary.
Holding onto a sense of wonder allows us to reframe the story, finding beauty in a reality that, while flawed, is uniquely ours. It’s not the story we expected, but it’s still one worth telling.

Fairy Tale
Not much to say. One of a few captures I kept from Happily Ever After during this viewing. As we continue to view the show and become more familiar, maybe I’ll have a clue as to when to start and stop the exposure👍 Everything I kept was just luck at this point, which I’ll take all day long🏰 FYI: this is only one capture made using a B&W ND3 filter, which I use often when exposing fireworks.

Another capture from our first viewing of Happily Ever After! I thought it fortunate, lucky, and a pretty cool effect with the series of burst at the end of this segment.
One evening we decided to stay back at our resort and then go to the Top of the World Lounge to view Happily Ever After. It was definitely a unique perspective. We watched from Maine Street, Frontierland, and from BLT. All very different overviews. As much as I didn’t want Wishes to end, with so many family memories, I’m okay with HEA. It’s emotional, and captures the ability to reflect on the memories Wishes had created. I know it sounds strange, but it really does keep those memories even though it’s new. The music, color, and over all show are emotionally incredible! I guess change can be good👍
Today's photo tour sends us to the Magic Kingdom for the finale shot of the Happily Ever After fireworks show. I think it's safe to say that I am completely satisfied with shooting this show. I was able to come out with 18 solid shots that I was very happy with. Everything just seemed to go perfect that night, from the area I was standing in to the bursting of fireworks in the sky. I couldn't have asked for any better conditions. Have a magical day!
