Beautiful 1920s pin cushion doll is the focus of this necklace. The chains are a mixture and tangle of aurora borealis glass beads, vintage pearls, glass rosary beads, and brass chain. Lobster clasp on the side.
The pin cushion doll measures 3.75inches/9.5cms.
The necklace measures 23.25inches/59cms.

The new book "Polymer Clay Master Class" by Judy Belcher and Tamara Honaman gave me the idea of including fibers into polymer (Dayle Doroshow and Sarah Shriver's project in the book). It was a first time for me and a bit scary, but I liked the result for this necklace. The Hunter's Wife presents the life of all the African wives of hunters who do with what they have, make beautiful things out of nothing, sing, laugh and love with so little.
The "l'imparfait" is a past tense in French. I find that it is such a nice name for a past tense, because what has ever been perfect in the past? Just like my cubes here... But doesn't that make life so much more interesting?
