For the Halloween season design.org asked me to do a series of scary type situations, so naturally the font papyrus was one of the first topics mentioned. You can check out the original post out at design.org.
I’M DONE! 55 pieces later, I have finished Biggie’s main verses from “Juicy”. It has taken a little more than one year to finish this project and I have to say it has been extremely fulfilling! At this point in time I’m exploring options on how to put this collection together as a set. Stay tuned! There may be a couple more Juicy related pieces to come, in order to help me cope with not releasing an update every Friday in the future, haha. Maybe I’ll start another song?
Sometimes I have a tendency to say I’m going to do something and push it off continuously, almost as if I’m avoiding it. Today is a fresh start, and I’m going to start now. Cheers to getting shit done!!
Motivational guru Wayne Dyer sadly passed away this weekend but left us with lots of inspirational words like these.
The Book of Names includes nameless Tibetan herders, famous comedians, peasants, politicitians, musicians, Holocaust survivors, authors, historians, Daoist masters, priests, imams, business men, travelers, master sword and knife makers from around the world, wanderers, rogues, the last inheritors of a lost Silk Road civilization, and a self-described existentialist philosopher to name a few. Some of these people I met in coffee shops in major world cities and others I had to hike deep into remote mountain ranges to find, but all represent special, unique parts of the shared history and herritage of humankind.
The Book of Names is a special, ongoing quest. It is a collection of people - their names, languages, cultures, countries, hopes, dreams, values, and all they hold dear coming together in a spirit of mutual respect and human brotherhood. As of the beginning of 2015, the Book had been signed by 126 people from roughly 74 countries, 101 people groups and 73 languages.

An illustrated guide of "Modern and Historical Typography", from 1948 by Imre Reiner. The first edition was published in 1944. The book has many fine examples of historic title pages, calligraphy, bookplates, labels, billheads and other ephemera, including some nice work of Reiner's as well.
