For the upcoming album ‘Showtime’ by AMOS I made a handdrawn cover artwork. What an awesome project! AMOS has invited a lot of international artists, designers and other doodlers to this event – see the complete participants list here.
The best designs become exposed at some nice gallery spots during the AMOS-Showtime-Live-Tour. So, fingers crossed for my freaky-funky-disco-slime-artwork! ^^

I've wanted to make this recreation for a while. This is a layered collage piece. Almost every detail on it is a different layer which has been colored, dyed, and trimmed to make this cute scene. Made for private swap on Swap-bot.
"Nom Nom Nom" is done with acrylic paint, watercolor, and colored pencil which have been cut and layered in a paper collage which has then been rubber cemented to some Bristol Board to give the cards some strength.
From Unit 7 of the Drawing lab, I chose to do the book. I had an amazing time working on this! I did started by making my little cover stock book with odd shaped pages so the pagegs all had a bit peeking out behind the previous page. That way when I drew a page some of the marks wer going on to the following pages. Then I had to incorporate those marks into those pages and make new marks on the next pages. it was wo surprising seeing the book develop before my eyes. I did this whole book an an exercise in doodling with a purpose. :) what do you think?

"The Strength of a King"
11×14″ graphite portrait of the stunning beauty and grace that Andalusians can convey. I did my best to capture that essence in this portrait.

The weird-looking striped figure behind the text is supposed to be a leg. It was not planned; however, I pretty much just went with the flow and this is what was created. The leg + wandering swirls illustrate our path, how messy and indirect our steps are, when we forget our Creator.
"To Dance in the Darkness"

INKTOBER day 31: landmark
I think Osama Bin Laden got what he wanted: a divided USA, a USA that is scared... and it all started at 9/11.
Glad Inktober is over.

It happened again – I have a bad cough, my little son is hot in bed with a fever, so Valentine's day is going to be all-but-romantic this year too!
Anyway, this is my last take on the swirls & hearts theme, for now at least. Enjoy your V-day, and if you want to send this as an e-card, please go ahead to this link!
Working on the second module in Eraser Queen's Fantastic Faces workshop with robots, and animal and plant inspired faces, plus some attempts at expressions (tho' my folks all still tend to look either bored or peeved).

If you cant read what it says: "Somethin kinda strange I can feel it in my veins" A song by Like Wild
This is something I drew in my graphics class, on this awesome drawing type computer thingy my teacher has. I spend all of my time on that thing. I sometimes skip 2nd just so I can draw on it. This took me about 2 and half days only because I couldnt constantly be on the computer. I would had gotten it done it probly a day in a half.
The colors arent as vibrant. I had to print this out bc i didnt have my USB. Once I remember to bring it I'll post the original.
October was a very busy month so I did a lot of little journal entries, filling up the blank spaces of my inside cover with zentangle patterns and color. These were some haiku I wrote earlier in the year.

This handdrawn image and the next one shows the calculation for my OcTrainber project. The original traincar has three sections, two car ends, a middle section and doors separating this section. The width of doors will be between 4,5 and 5 studs scaled down using 1:45 ratio, the car lenght is given as 72 studs (as my all UIC-X cars are), so I was in need to split up the remaining 62-63 studs to make sure, that the ratio of car end length and car middle length is 0,75. These lenghts also must be good to SNOT the row of windows, defined by the following sizes:
w1 - large window width
w2 - toilette window width
s1 - door-window separation width
s2 - window-window separation width
s3 - window-car end separation width.
The image above shows two possible solution, giving not satisfying results.
World, meet the hand-drawn vector map patterns. These twenty (20) set of intricate line patterns were created to mimic the topography line found on maps, architectural drawings, etc.
Each pattern was drawn with care, using a Pentel Sign pen, on white paper. These drawings were then scanned in at 600 ppi, carefully cleaned up, and turned into vector assets.
In addition, high resolution transparent PNGs, and bitmap TIFFs versions are included. The PNG versions in particular transcribe transparency variation in the inking work. The TIFF versions feature high density halftone patterns, to make for nice line definition.
What's included in your download:
- Twenty (20) hand-drawn vector map patterns (Ai, PDF, EPS)
- Twenty (20) transparent PNG versions (~4,930x6,300 pixels @ 600 ppi)
- Twenty (20) bitmap TIFF versions (~4,930x6,300 pixels @ 300 ppi)
