We worked with blogger Haeley Simbalvo to create “Handcrafted Wreaths”, is a truly fun collection of her favorite - and easy to make wreaths. The book is designed with simple to follow instructions for creating wreaths for each season of the year.
Cecilia was inspired by the Simon and Garfunkel song. The beadwoven bracelet is made with copper bugles and copper colored seed beads woven to hold squares of blue (indicolite)Swarovski crystals. The bracelet measures approximately 6 and 3/4 inches (17cm) long. The closure is a beaded bead with loop.

The color combination of my bracelet reflects this; whereas, the woven part of the bracelet indicates the tangled up web of Cecilia.

A visit to the place that born the drinks I so covet every morning is a fitting homage to a brand that has done so well over the last 40 years. And I wasn't the only one -- a line out the door and down the street isn't uncommon here.
For years I made a living as a jewelry artist,not only did I create the glass beads that went in them I also created the hand woven chains that held the art pieces together.Many of the glass pieces had precious metals in them such as 24kt gold and fine silver and once cooled were dropped in acid to remove their glosses and give them a soft diffused glow. The ocean was a big influence in the colors and styles of many of them.
Working late into the nights I was drawn to the flame and the thrill of seeing the wonderful colored glass pieces like a "Christmas present" in the cooled kiln once morning came.Each piece was uniquely one of a kind and could never be duplicated.
The chains were crafted of fine silver and 22 Kt Gold- by hand ,almost pure metals and were very pliable allowing much movement in the creation process.
I called these my violin chains,as I would work on them while my youngest was in violin lessons.A wonderful process of creating one of a kind pieces. I can NOT claim credit for the incredible painted works of art on the pendants,they were created by a group of artists in Russia .Once completed the pieces were joined as ones as you see in the image above.These are the few items I kept for myself over the many years...
