This Julie de Graag collection is a compilation of human portraits, sketches and graphic arts from the 19th century by Julie de Graag (1877-1924), a Dutch graphic artist and painter. She mainly produced graphic works in a Art Nouveau style which has been described as being both sober yet refined.

This was completed incorporating an action called Hand Drawn. It required quite a bit of pre and post processing as well as layer modifications but in the end it looks promising.

Ethereal collection of illustrated artworks by the Dutch artist Theodorus “Theo” van Hoytema (1863-1917). He was employed as a draughtsman in the Zoological Museum in Leiden where he was able to draw much inspiration from the natural form of animals. Theo was known as a book illustrator, painter, aquarellist, and etcher and is renowned for his incredibly detailed lithographic work. He was inspired by French Art Nouveau movement and Japanese graphic art which influenced him to create innovative floral and animal motives. De Hoytema published several picture books for children, including the well-known The Ugly Duckling. In later years, he also published calendars, some of which can be found in this collection. We have digitally enhanced these beautiful litographs of animals, birds, and plants for you to enjoy and download to use under the CC0 license.

"Wednesday Addams" is done with watercolors and a touch of acrylic paint and pen which has then been rubber cemented to some Bristol Board to give the card some strength.
When I was 14, I made this drawing with just a pencil, a pen, a compass and a ruler. I'm not sure if I could do that now ...
Created using only handdrawn elements which i made, 100 of them , gonna sell them to get a bit extra cash soon ;)
This is my way of being in Lisbon, virtually. I am doing a daily watercolor challenge through Firefly Books and world watercolor month. This is for the Doodlewash challenge prompt for today, city life.
I'm missing a lot of my Seattle Urban Sketchers buddies as they are in Porto, Portugal this week for the ninth annual Urban Sketchers symposium, I am following their social media posts and enjoying the trip vicariously.
Thank you, little peg man, on Google Earth for walking through the streets of Lisbon with me.
See my blog post for today to get the view from which I painted.

Hand cramps galore. This is a smaller portion of a 30x10' wall of typography I've been working on for the NewSpring Church Student building. Should go to print this week.
It's been fun doing custom variations on some of may favorite digital typefaces (Knockout, Poplar, Soho, etc.) Quite the exercise in patience.
