“Drawing upon the idiosyncrasies of “commercial art” lettering from the early twentieth century, Fella utilized the techniques and materials of this period to form his alphabet.”

It says: Kate Bingaman has always been in love with her handwriting. She first flexed her typographicd muscles by forging her friends' parents' signatures on elementary school band practice sheets. She never forged her parents' signatures because she actually liked practicing her flute. At some point she veered away from a budding career in forgery and now uses her powers for good. Obsessiveconsumption.com is Kate's baby, and she is constantly drawing the dumb things that she buys (and words that describe the dumb things that she buys). She is an assistant professor of graphic design at Mississippi State University. Typography is her favorite class to teach.

The Reverend sent this to me back in the day.I wish him well and I hope to see him on my travels real soon!

This is way awesome!

This is the most perfect quote for me at the moment. Love doing some type experiments

The large free form hollow developed some cracks on the front and a large one on the back :(

Can't remember what I did wrong since the bases were made more than a year ago.

The rest did well, now just wanting to figure out a more permanent patina than what the kiln gives Bronzclay. Any suggestions?

Mike sent me an advanced copy and it arrived on my doorstep this morning. huzzah!

I drew these cards after the overwhelming response I received for the geisha cards. Once I started on the 3 Asian cards, the others came easily. I also did three African female cards as well. I just didn't like them. Back to the drawing board.

I wanted something special for my 'destination wedding' (if you will). Something guests could use and interact with, while keeping a fresh beach-look and color palette. Save the dates were sent out, then the 10-panel fold-out invite was secured with a monogrammed pink wax seal was mailed to guests. (with of course - custom stamp ;) Map on the inside was hand-drawn with water color and graphic icons, or visualizations of necessary information and popular sites around the Los Angeles / Santa Monica area. RSVP, were one flap- perforated for guest to tear off and mail.

World, meet the hand-drawn vector map patterns. These twenty (20) set of intricate line patterns were created to mimic the topography line found on maps, architectural drawings, etc.

Each pattern was drawn with care, using a Pentel Sign pen, on white paper. These drawings were then scanned in at 600 ppi, carefully cleaned up, and turned into vector assets.

In addition, high resolution transparent PNGs, and bitmap TIFFs versions are included. The PNG versions in particular transcribe transparency variation in the inking work. The TIFF versions feature high density halftone patterns, to make for nice line definition.

What's included in your download:

- Twenty (20) hand-drawn vector map patterns (Ai, PDF, EPS)

- Twenty (20) transparent PNG versions (~4,930x6,300 pixels @ 600 ppi)

- Twenty (20) bitmap TIFF versions (~4,930x6,300 pixels @ 300 ppi)
