There is something very satisfying about tracing letter forms :)
i'm not sure how many sign makers still DO hand Lettering anymore. but you will rarely see it anymore.
For my Hand Lettering project i chose a phrase that i feel i have heard a lot, "Time is Money". So i choose to do basic theme of the money. I choose to use a color scheme that was very similar to that of a dollar but with a cartoony feel to the lettering. I based the lettering off sort of a cartoon graffiti. The way it is shaped gives it depth and the way i painted it also shows depth but as well as a cartoon feel.
