The walk up to my door. The front window on the left has a projection of a Halloween video. House number removed in Photoshop.
The lamppost sign reads "The Dragon's Lair" and was a gift from a friend.

Next year I must try to get an invitation to this extraordinary event at Báthory Castle!
Happy Halloween to all of you!

Put together a quick table runner for Halloween - last minute idea so I just used fabrics from Joanns.
NO special rulers needed! Just use the 60 degree mark on your quilt ruler. These are 4.5" equilateral triangles and I made it from 1/8 yardage cuts from 7 different fabrics (plus a yard for the backing/binding fabric).
This is an absolutely amazing huge Halloween prop, plush with latex and wire frame, made by Paper Magic Group. The date for these things seemed to be 2000, and I think they were only made for one year.
Hard to find, and SO ADORABLE!!!!
Happy Halloween from all at Greater Manchester Police.
Have a great night, stay safe and be polite.
If you are a 'trick or treater' - don't go out too late, ring or knock only once, and be prepared to take 'no' for an answer.
We’ll be out during the evening looking for any signs of antisocial behaviour.

You should call 101, the national non-emergency number, to report crime and other concerns that do not require an emergency response.
Always call 999 in an emergency, such as when a crime is in progress, violence is being used or threatened or where there is danger to life.
You can also call anonymously with information about crime to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Crimestoppers is an independent charity who will not want your name, just your information. Your call will not be traced or recorded and you do not have to go to court or give a statement.
My favorite homemade prop of all time. A fake can of spider "Raid" in a skeletal hand. For a complete look at our Arachnophobia Halloween party, visit this link: www.aug.edu/clinical/halloween/2007.htm
Simply decorated with piped chocolate. I don't think royal icing and chocolate cookies go together, and didn't want all that extra sugar.
Whilst they are still a treat, the trick is that these cookies have hidden healthy stuff packed into them *insert evil laugh*
I used my usual chocolate sugar cookie recipe and halved the sugar, used wholemeal flour, and added apricots, dates and mixed seeds that had been blitzed into tiny bits in the food processor so that no child can detect them!
In the end I only had 2 trick or treaters, so most of these have been polished off by the family...
Halloween is not big in Australia.
It is more popular with children who go in costume from house to house asking for treats and young people looking for an excuse to party.
This young family did have an early celebration and attended a costume party in the city.

This butterfly, in Halloween colors of orange and black, is Lapis doris (aka "Doris"). With a little imagination, a "scary monster's face" can be seen on it's wings, with a row of large orange teeth across the bottom. This butterfly was seen, along with an estimated 2000 of his Lepidopteran friends at the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. I've visited many butterfly houses and this was by far the largest and most populated. It was hard to leave.
(Thanks to all of my Flickr friends who sent their best wishes regarding my wife's recent hospital stay. She's back home and we have our fingers crossed for luck ;)...)
Where's Waldo?

Thanks Kate for taking photos!!!!
This is a shot from the 1978 movie "Halloween" (top) with Jamie Lee Curtis. The locations for this film were in the Hollywood and South Pasadena areas of California. Thirty years later...
This home is located at 1103 Fairview Ave, South Pasadena.
Just finished my Halloween staff! It is made of wood and polymer clay, painted with Genesis Heat Set paints, and embellished with specialty vintage style tinsel trim. The clothes, faceup and papier mache mask are also by me.

Kids and families went trick-or-treating and enjoyed some Halloween activities at the BC Legislature, on October 31, 2022.
A special Halloween Story Hour was held at Franklin Memorial Library on October 27, 2007 for children ages 5-12. Rosebud the Clown presided over this event. Children were encouraged to dress up in a costume of their own making (or mom's). A prize was awarded to the child with the best costume. Ernie Warden won the contest with Amy Dalton as runner-up. Judges for this event were Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Gross.
Happy Halloween!
Not for the faint-hearted. Our Halloween liquorice has a strong, intense flavour with a 5 % salmiak kick to it. With a fierce salt and sugar coating these bites are equally tangy and tempting – guaranteed to get you addicted in the most magnificent way. Sweet and salty at first, deep and chewy at the finish.
