The 2nd-ranked Amherst College women’s basketball team played host to visiting Western Connecticut State University in the 2009 Tip-Off Tournament Championship Game. This is the picture from p.32 of the Game program Bengals vs Broncos Pre-Season Aug, 10, 1968. Cheyenne All City Band, a summer band and blend of players from both Cheyenne High Schools. As a tenor drummer I am somewhere about fourth column from the right and about 9 rows back!
Fresh back to Cheyenne after doing 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade in New Jersey, I needed and got the friendship and camaraderie provided by this band in the summer before my Senior year in high school.
It's a shame music programs are disappearing from schools all over America. Moms, If you can get your kid in a band or chorus DO IT! They'll cherish the memories and experience all their life. They might even become a great musician!
