the macromondays' theme for today 12/2 is RED. i think there are 4 contenders. this one is sort of noir-ish and dramatic and 3 people faved it so far-- wow ~grin~ .. time for some coffee and some dithering while i cogitate on which to post :)

Another weekend away with the FFF+ gang. We were a little half hearted about our chances of a successful early morning shoot, with bad weather forecast. However we decided to ignore the reports and head out anyway ... so glad we did as we were treated to a lovely start to the day.
Sorry I'm way behind on everyones streams and commenting. I shall endeavour to get on top of things this afternoon.
When I'm on my way home from home-home I pass this chapel.
I always wanted to have a closer look but somehow it took me many years to actually do it.
Apparently it's really old (from around 1605) and one of the few half-timbered chapels that have survived from before the Thirty Years' War.

The "Brusttuch" is a remarkable example of medieval architecture. The carvings on the wooden beams deserve special attention.

They are so beautiful and I decided to learn more about them. That's how I came across several half-dolls on Flickr, including those belonging to friends of Jesse's who were also inspired by him, and I became more and more enthusiastic.

Half Dome Mountain is a granite dome found in Yosemite National Park in California. This was take from the Sentinel Bridge waiting for the sun to set.

Half Dome is a a granite dome on the eastern end of the valley.
It is considered the most diificult day hike in the park. The first person to make the hike was George G. Anderson in 1875.
It is at 8844ft , in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
It will be Pierrette’s final performance.
She has appeared on stage in the theatre alongside Pierrot countless times.

To take one final bow to the audience
And then, after 1,735 performances, it will all be over and everyone will go their separate ways… or… will they retreat together, sitting on the crescent of the moon??
