Macro Monday theme - Ready for the Day

Hair gel with backlight

Happy Macro Monday and have a good week!

I have never seen this plant before until last year when I planted a packet of mixed wild flower seeds and this is one of the plants that grew and it is related to the sunflower and daisy. Apparently this plant is a herb and has been used over many years as a clothing and food dye and it is a cheap alternative to saffron. It is now used as a cooking oil and is an ingredient for hair and skin products because it has moisturising properties, it is also rich in vitamin E and is an antioxidant. “Apparently this plant was highly popular among the ancient Egyptians and they used it to dye textiles from the twelfth dynasty and clothing made from the flowers was found on eighteenth dynasty mummies in Egypt.” The plant is also know by other names such as “American saffron, oil thistle, false saffron, dyers saffron, majestic orange, zaffer and Mexican saffron. It was quite interesting watching the plant grow as it had a flower head which slightly resembled an artichoke except that it was a lot smaller.

I love Lush products and this is a purple coloured hair gel that is vegan friendly.

Oh, and those of you who are Mighty Boosh fans will get the joke. ;)

Times two. I don't know why, I just like these little tins as photo subjects.

8/25/2012 - saturday.

i actually had something different in my mind today.

i walked to this beautiful forest but i got chased by a bee all the way so i decided to go back and that's all what i could do then because i had to get home before my sister came.

note to myself:

don't use hairproducts that smell like flowers again.

We met a future Broadway actress when our son took her to the Prom in Middle School in Miami (!). We've all kept in touch over the years since, as she became a successful actress in New York, and were fortunate enough to see her in two Broadway productions and one off-Broadway show. This was her dressing room in a Broadway show, and I love the functionality of it: family photos (blurred for confidentiality) on the right, then jewelry to be worn by scene, then make-up and hair products, followed by throat lozenges (it was a musical and she had a singing part) and misc. 'stuff' that might be needed.

My new favorite grooming product. This stuff holds great without feeling heavy...and it has a great light tropical scent.

Unfortunately, everyday is a a bad hair day for me. In spite of the large investment I have made over the years in HAIR PRODUCTS. I seriously could open a hair product supply shop.

The Edwards' Harlene Company of 95 & 96 High Holborn, London,

advertised hair dressing. which was supposed to restore the hair, stop it

falling out, promote hair growth, strengthen the roots, and make the hair soft.

The complete solution for you HAIR problems..

I wanted to go to Elizabeth Park in Hartford because I expected protesters to be there, but they only allowed walk-ins and there was nowhere close to park for the park. Good thing I took this representative photo at my barber's just in case. It represents different types in quarantine together.

Also, when your barber opens up and you can finally get a haircut, at least two visits' worth of hair is getting cut. Show your solidarity with your barber by paying for those missed haircuts, because s/he wasn't paid at all in that time.

This is very important issue and women must know what are the causes of Split Ends? Most of the Women or girls don't have time to take care her hair but they surely know that hair needs proper care and attention.
