Rachel's been making hair falls and I borrowed a pair to wear to work today. She's selling them in various colors and yarns so if you're interested let me know and I'll pass it along to her.
These slides are all handmade from veg tan leather which has been dyed into spectacular colours. They are all supplied with a plain hair stick to style into your hair. I personally find that if your hair is quite fine these will slip, but if you put a hairband on your hair first you can still 'pin' these in. The larger styles of hairslide are fantastic for thick hair or dreads/hairfalls.
This style of hair slide is known as the "Art Deco Firebird" style, as the overlay on top of the slide has been designed to represent a Firebird wing. This is a slightly smaller size compared to the older "Art Deco Firebird" slides that I also have for sale. The dimensions are as follows:

This is a pair of ribbon and yarn dreadfalls (hair falls) that I made recently. They're made from acrylic and wool yarns in shades of brown, green, gold, orange, and red. There are large beads strung onto the yarns, too! Everything is connected to two elastic hair ties; these work best with long hair, but since my mannequin's hair is short, I clipped them into her hair.
Most of the yarns I used are store-bought, but one of the yarns I used in this pair of dreadfalls is actually my first handspun yarn. I love adding in a little extra love to the things I make. :)

This is actually a pair of dreadfalls that I made a few years ago, but I finally got around to taking a better photo. ;)
I made these hair falls with pirates and Halloween in mind because they have a few ribbons with skull and crossbones designs mixed in with the yarns. These hair falls tie into your hair with fabric elastic hair ties. My mannequin has short hair, though, so I have them clipped into her hair with hair clips.
