I must have made this pair of dreadfalls five or six years ago- I was digging through my bin of finished art yesterday and came across a few costume-y things that I never photographed. Hooray for things you forgot you made? lol!
Anyway, these are a pair of dreadfalls (hairfalls, whatever you want to call them) made from wool and acrylic yarn. They're attached to round fabric hair ties/ hair elastics that knot into your hair (like you would use for a regular ponytail or bun)- my mannequin has short hair, though, so I just clipped them into her hair with hair clips so that she could model these. They're about 19" long at the longest.

This is a pair of ribbon and yarn dreadfalls (hair falls) that I made recently. They're made from acrylic and wool yarns in shades of brown, green, gold, orange, and red. There are large beads strung onto the yarns, too! Everything is connected to two elastic hair ties.
Most of the yarns I used are store-bought, but one of the yarns I used in this pair of dreadfalls is actually my first handspun yarn. I love adding in a little extra love to the things I make. :)
The picture really doesn't do the different colors and textures justice. These are so pretty in person! :)
