This time, it was a challenge for me. Do a picture in... liquide. Ok it's not water but it's a little same? (or not lol). It's hard to do reflect. I don't know if it's great but it's my first try. Hope you'll like it!!

In the stark contrast of black and white, her portrait revealed a profound sadness that words could scarcely describe. With her eyes closed and her head bowed, she seemed to carry the weight of the world on her delicate shoulders. Her lips, tightly sealed, held back a torrent of unspoken sorrows, while her serene yet sorrowful expression told a story of silent suffering. Shadows danced across her features, highlighting the lines etched by heartache and resilience. In this monochrome moment, the absence of color stripped away all pretense, leaving only the raw essence of her inner turmoil. Her downcast gaze and closed eyes were a silent testament to the pain within, a quiet cry for solace in the midst of her overwhelming grief.
Something very simple for todays theme. I am still not 100 % but slowly getting there.

Wisconsin Central was a friendly railroad to be around with a camera. I frequently wandered around the engine facility, as well as locomotive and car shop at North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin—or “Shops” as it was commonly called. Sometimes it was on an officially sanctioned tour, but many times it wasn’t, and I don’t ever recall being asked to leave. It probably didn’t hurt that I occasionally bought a WC sweatshirt out of the merchandise closet from one of the managers. The one thing I do remember is how dark and sooty it was inside most of the steam-era buildings, especially when using Kodachrome 64 and 200 to photograph interiors. I did what I could with the tools of the day.
On October 8, 1994, WC EMD GP30 No. 815, acquired from the merger with Fox River Valley railroad, is about to head into the roundhouse on the wheel track, equipped with a drop pit and wheel lathe. One track over, WC SW9 No. 1231 slumbers the day away.
Sammy belongs to my friend, Les. Mk1 used to belong to his Mum, who also used to belong to me, but I gave him away as I was living with a violent partner, and was worried Sammy would get hurt or worse, then it was my turn to leave.
Mk2 seemed to be a stray that decided she was adopting Les. Sammy is a funny one, apparently where she is sitting, is her favourite spot in the garden, next to the plant pots. 😊🐱
My son Antonio requested I take the photo, he adores cats and unfortunately because he is so allergic to them, we can't have one.
