The colours of Lake Huron look like a tropical sea, near Goderich, Ontario, Canada.
Family holiday at the beach at Ontario's West Coast.
I like that this looks like an oil painting, but I still like the Microsoft Bing (first one) the best.
Early May is a bit early for Sachems, but to see this very fresh female today was truly surprising. So far I have not seen any males this year.
Seen nectaring on Wild Indigo (Baptisia australis).
Chicago-Montreal train Q148 begins it’s descent into the “gravity fed” tunnel in Port Huron, Michigan that will take it from the United States to Ontario, Canada by way of passing underneath the St. Clair River. CN SD60F 5554 and IC SD40-2 6100 provide the muscle on this bitter January morning.
Today also marks the one year anniversary of a massive derailment that resulted from a lack of synchronization between the head end and mid-train locomotives inside of the tunnel.
On of the most colorful I have seen on Lake Huron in a while. The height of the clouds after the sun set below the horizon, was very illuminating on the lake.
Lake Huron in its frozen state,,,, not a very hospitable place to be... the black dots are birds sitting on the drifts,,, wishing everyone a good day and thanks for your visits,,,, Hope you don't get cold looking at this :-)
