These colorful Bumblebees are very common in the Sandia Mountains. They seem to really like the Lupine and will completely crawl inside of each flower.
I have traveled up to here several times in recent months, primarily to pass Edge Hill and Allerton depots, looking for new Northern units.. usually out one way and back the other, that is surface/Northern and Mersey Rail.
As i have a Mersey pass, being a resident and age qualified it costs zero... happy days.
At this limit of the Mersey rail system, appropriately named "Hunts Cross" you can detrain from one service, cross the platforms and board another, the Mersey rail frequency is such that you only need wait 15 minutes for a ride back into the City, or where ever you fancy....
I stopped by the lake, and very near the trail, I spotted this egret on the hunt. It didn't spot me, so I was able to shoot so close that I couldn't even get close to filling the frame with it. Sure had great concentration!
This snowy owl was on the hunt for rabbits. She missed her target and perched up on a rooftop waiting for another opportunity. View large.
This Coyote hunted a field in Grand Teton National Park. The evening sun provided a neat backlight on the coyote and illuminated different layers in the grass. He would come very near the road only to turn and face the wind, hunting out to the middle of the field then returning to get the wind in his face and do it again.

I like to scavenger hunt for trinkets, the last time I took a shot of my prizes it was just filled the tray that is under the cabinet, now the cupboard is about full, These will some day be photographed for on theme or another but for now I have a lot of just in case.

The view from atop Hunts Mesa blew me away. Worth the price of entry to be sure. I only wish I could have more time there. For this shot I blended in a sky from earlier, I didn't spend a lot of time on it but I think it looks ok.

Today I want to introduce you to a place called NY, a land under the management of Mel and Armier. For the month of December they lovingly prepared a hunt that starts on December 1st and runs until December 25th, the items are spread over the entire length of the land, so always look carefully everywhere. Oh, and 1st at 05:00 pm SLT there will be an opening party with Dj Roger. The island is composed of several places, Hotel, Airport, Race track (With car and scripts available), Helicopters and helipads spread throughout the city, Beach with port for navigation, Shopping with stores and the Sophia Club ... and much more.
