Sorry for the lack of uploads/activity recently, but I just haven't had the time. Here is a little side-project that I've been slowly putting together over the past few months. I hope you all like it and feel free to give any constructive criticism! I tried to make this model as small as possible whilst still having some of the humvee's iconic features, so it was quite the challenge. Anyway, it might be a while until the next upload as I have some exams coming up, so enjoy!
Thanks,
.NP.
I'm fairly proud of this one. All the techniques to get some of the subtle details came out great in my humble opinion. Took some inspiration from Mr.B's model when building this although mine is less technical. I still need to plug the hole by the front door and get some tan wedge plates for he hood. I hope to make some more variants of this in the future so if you guys have any suggestions please comment them below. C&C appreciated.

This is an old photo from the last November during the Nellis Air Show. This Humvee looked like a tiny matchbox toy while being carried to the other side of the base by this huge CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter.
Fun Fact: Currently, about 150 CH-53E helicopters are in service with the Marines and another 28 MH-53Es are in service with the U.S Navy. The CH-53 requires 44 maintenance hours per flight hour. A flight hour costs about $20,000

This is my first modern build and I am pretty pleased with how it turned out! However I'm not so sure about the picture. Do you guys think I should retake it? It was raining when I took the picture so the lighting wasn't the best.

I will just always enjoy seeing a Lego Humvee, if you like building modern military Lego it's got to be on the list as a "must do" for sure, warmer weather is coming soon enough and I'm hoping to get some nice sun for outdoor photos ; )

Due to budget cuts and simply being assigned to the ass end of the galaxy, SandTrooper units are forced to use 21st century technology to conduct their mission operations. This includes using retrofitted Humvees--proof of the Humvee's profound combat viability and legacy.
_
SandTroopers love the Humvee's retro feel, reliability and off road capability along with it's simple, yet EMP proof, analog technology.

These SandTroopers are assigned to Beach Sector 21, Area 4 and referred to as "Humvee Rats" within their division. They have named their Humvee 'Miss Monroe'.
Just a comparison shot, hopefully will be able to make some scenes with my upgraded Humvee collection in upcoming months ; )
The Humvee has a ton of variations and countries that utilize this four wheeled bad boy and made for the perfect gift for a combat medic friend of mine who I got the chance to reconnect with after what felt like a life time apart.
Much like this Humvee and my homie they take care of their people and was the perfect way to show just how much that meant, the design originated from Evan Melick, that I threw my own personal touches on including suspension by Andrew Somers!
Shooting wise I got my hands on a Rebel T3i a while back and the quality difference is just night and day, more good stuff on the way fellas!

My two Humvee Medivac's. Converted another to the newer tyre set up and it was such a pain to Re work the tech on the rear so the tyres would fit finally, took an overhaul of the tech there but finally got it done. Now there's just the odg/two jungle camo/another tan and finally snow camo to update lol
This one needs a few parts here and there to match colours I want so not completely done just yet ; )
