Here are detailed photos of the newly released Disney Cinderella Carriage Bluetooth Speaker, by eKids. My collector friend Blaine Simmonds finally found a link to the product after months of searching, and told me about it. It is sold by the Home Shopping Network (HSN), a US home shopping television channel, which also sells its products online.
I ordered the carriage on Sunday July 26, 2015, and it arrived today (Friday July 31). It costs $69.95, with $6.95 shipping. It is really gorgeous, and looks as though it is gold plated (although it isn't). It has ornate decorations in relief throughout the piece, even on the wheels. To make it stable when sitting on a desk or table, it has tiny rubber feet on the bottom of the wheels. It was disappointing to me, but not surprising that the wheels do not turn. It is 9'' L x 6.5'' H x 4'' W and weighs 10 oz. It has no moving parts (except a switch on the bottom), and it is very sturdy even though it is relatively light. It is made mostly of plastic, with some metal. The front of the coach is a seat for the driver, and the back has a trunk (which doesn't open). The center compartment is a sphere, where the speaker and all the electronics reside. The detailing and paint job are perfectly done. It really looks like a work of art.
It also comes with instruction booklets (in three languages) and a USB cable for power and recharging the built-in lithium ion battery. There is a three position switch with on/off/pairing settings. There is an audio in port and USB micro port. The unit came already powered, but the instructions said to charge it for at least 8 hours before using it.
When I get a chance, I will also post photos of the carriage speaker next to some of my other Cinderella carriage replicas.
