His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

So how old did you think I was?
I ask a lot of real girls when Im out and about and 99% of them think I'm around 27 then I tell them...
Please leave a comment, only takes a few seconds!
Wow ! This is my current fav photo of me ever. Taken in my hotel room on January 1st 2017.
I'm 48 years old and look like this, I really find it hard to believe when I see how I look in this photograph. Not Photoshoped, no pro makeovers, no dressing service, JUST plain old me !
How old do YOU think I am?
PLEASE leave a comment rather than just clicking that Favorite button, after all if you like it then please tell me WHY you like it :)
The We're Here! gang is counting the days to Chistmas. You'll note that Olaf the Octopus is still wearing his Santa hat from last year. Might as well leave it on him...not long to go now!
Great set of Nissan Skyline at the Purist Winter Drive this November 22nd 2014

When your bird has a great shape (like most birds do) and you have a bright background, consider making a silhouette by exposing for the background and letting the bird go completely black. To do this, use spot metering and meter on the background.

..... wonderful it was to find this single 7-spot ladybird yesterday during my lunch hour! Only time I've been out (so far) this week...
Didn't get out last Sunday, and this weekend's not looking good either... there'll be plenty more delving in those archives!!

Funny how light can sometimes be warm and cool and reach a stage where they are quite different and distinct just how it was here.
I was hoping to show my first image with a new Canon 5d Mark 3 body. However, because I shoot all my images in RAW, my version of Lightroom 3 could not identify the new DNG files produced by this new camera body. Damned annoying. Apparently when they introduced Lightroom 4, they stopped supporting the previous version, so any new camera body that came out needed downloads to convert the RAW files. So having downloaded all the new stuff, I still can't access my new 5d files via Lightroom3. So you then have to download a DNG converter from Adobe, what a bummer ................Drat and Double Drat
Anyway this was taken with my old 7d that I took along as a backup, thankfully
How do you take your coffee?

Fifty winters more or drop us at this one now

Decant your wine; the days are more fun than the years
Which pass us by while we discuss them. Act with Zest

Oh how things have changed! Penn Central F7A 1840, cabless GP9B & F7A lead an eastbound manifest freight train under former New Haven Railroad wire and through Stamford, Connecticut, 1973. The roadbed and surround area look like a dump as compared to the way the area was previously maintained. This must have a hot summer day with the nose door open on F7A # 1840 for better ventilation. In the background you can see the Stamford passenger station.
Bob Hughes captured this image on film from his tower window.
A true image of me in as much as the lightning is natural and you can see every line and pore on the old boat. So my complexion isn't as perfect as it looks at time. Might post a filtered image next to show how easily the truth can be bent.
Funny isn't how life changes and revolves.
A much older snap from way back when and a time I had little time to spend upon myself and frocking-up.
A house to maintain and gardens and lawn needing constant maintenance.
Now, down the track years later and lots of 'spare-time' I now find myself mostly being simply me and just living the life of whom I am and loving it. All-be-it, now somewhat laid-back and maybe lazy in posing and posting new stuff.
And yes! I was not just posing here. I was actually mowing the front lawn in truth. No bullshit and no pretense.
Who cares what the neighbours think?
I don't talk to flowers, they talk to me and I gladly listen!
Talk about a tulips with attitude!!!
You sure this is my best side?
I mean, you are the photographer, but still...
can you guarantee you ALWAYS get it right?
Ahem.
For years I 'experimented' in the studio, to get that Flemish painter's light? Well, I was born in Flanders, it must be in my blood? LOL.
NEW!!! A NEW TREAT HERE, a second choice of some of my images:
Lead and enjoy a good life, do and say things that enrich... and do not forget to tell the people close to you, how much you love them!
With love to you and thank you for ALL your faves and comments, M, (* _ *)

WHAT PART of DO NOT USE is it that you DO NOT UNDERSTAND?
I find my images on numerous blogs and websites EVERY DAY, without my permission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why not view the set as a slide-show?
Also I often upload more than one image at the same time, I see a tendency to only view the last uploaded...
... get up from the water onto the wobbly slackline and raise from sitting to standing up. All it takes is focus, strong legs and centre of gravity
..configure a Cali. I don't mind the colour but the rims.. no. Opinions?
(Yes my trip to London didn't yield particularly good results but I paid the damn rail fair so this is going up.)

The wonkiness was intentional, but now it's kind of killing me! Oh well, other than that, I LOVED making this block and I'm happy with how it turned out. So fun - thank you, Cara!
WMSR 1309 rounds the curve under the CSX Mountain Subdivision in Cumberland, MD with the 3:30 PM Polar Express train in tow. The sharp curve here shows the articulated steam locomotive pivoting around.
Well, it makes for a good story but don't worry, he didn't get wet. It is really an optical illusion taken of the Fontana dell' Obelisco in the Piazza del Popolo.

How about something a little fun to start off the week.....was playing around with my editing program yesterday; revisiting some oldies but goodies and thought I would put together this collage of images from one of my favorite coyotes of 2009.
Have a wonderful week....thanks for stopping by to visit :-)
