A little space in my house that collects morning light. The light is filtered through a forest of balsam. And when I open our sliding door, the smell of sweet balsam swims through the house.
Thank you so much for visiting. Perhaps you'll do a bit of reading:)
We sit by the lighthouse and watch the sunset. These days it sets very early and its quiet, no vacationers. Most times, we are the only ones there.
Be well...;D
This photograph was inspired by the Genesis song titled "Home By The Sea", if you check out the song I am certain you will understand why.
This photo was taken in the harbour of the town of Maidens in Ayrshire which is just along the road from the Turnberry Golf Courses.
Were we ever young or was it just a dream?

Subaru Vivio (1992-98) スバル・ヴィヴィオ
In November 1995 the Vivio Bistro was introduced. This was a modified version with a retro theme. The Bistro series became a hit, causing Subaru to release multiple succeeding versions of the Bistro. The trend of retro-styled cars was quite popular in 1990s Japan, following the success of Nissan's "Pike" series cars like the Pao and Figaro.

Genesis - Lyrics: "Home By The Sea"
Creeping up the blind side, shinning up the wall
stealing thru the dark of night
Climbing thru a window, stepping to the floor
checking to the left and the right
Picking up the pieces, putting them away
something doesn't feel quite right
Help me someone, let me out of here
then out of the dark was suddenly heard
welcome to the Home by the Sea
Coming out the woodwork, thru the open door
pushing from above and below
shadows but no substance, in the shape of men
round and down and sideways they go
adrift without direction, eyes that hold despair
then as one they sign and they moan
Help us someone, let us out of here
living here so long undisturbed
dreaming of the time we were free
so many years ago
before the time when we first heard
welcome to the Home by the Sea
Sit down Sit down
as we relive our lives in what we tell you
Images of sorrow, pictures of delight
things that go to make up a life
endless days of summer longer nights of gloom
waiting for the morning light
scenes of unimportance, photos in a frame
things that go to make up a life
Help us someone, let us out of here
cos living here so long undisturbed
dreaming of the time we were free
so many years ago
before the time when we first heard
welcome to the Home by the Sea
Sit down Sit down
as we relive out lives in what we tell you
let us relive out lives in what we tell you
Sit down Sit down
cos you won't get away
no with us you will stay
for the rest of your days - Sit down
As we relive our lives in what we tell you
Let us relive our lives in what we tell you

Закинтос, Греция
Zakynthos lies in the eastern part of the Ionian sea, around 20 kilometres (12 miles) west of the Greek (Peloponnese) mainland. The island of Kefalonia lies 15 kilometres (9 miles) on the north. It is the southernmost of the main group of the Ionian islands (not counting distant Kythira). Zakynthos is about 40 kilometres (25 miles) long and 20 kilometres (12 miles) wide, and covers an area of 405.55 km2 (156.58 sq mi) .Its coastline is approximately 123 km (76 mi) long. According to the 2011 census, the island has a population of 40,759.The highest point is Vrachionas, at 758 metres (2,487 feet).
Zakynthos has the shape of an arrowhead, with the "tip" (Cape Skinari) pointing northwest. The western half of the island is a mountainous plateau and the southwest coast consists mostly of steep cliffs. The eastern half is a densely populated fertile plain with long sandy beaches, interrupted with several isolated hills, notably Bochali which overlooks the city and the peninsula of Vasilikos in the northeast. The peninsulas of Vassilikos to the north and Marathia to the south enclose the wide and shallow bay of Laganas on the southeast part of the island.
The capital, which has the same name as the prefecture, is the town of Zakynthos. It lies on the eastern part of the northern coast. Apart from the official name, it is also called Chora (i.e. the Town, a common denomination in Greece when the name of the island itself is the same as the name of the principal town). The port of Zakynthos has a ferry connecting to the port of Kyllini on the mainland. Another ferry connects the village of Agios Nikolaos to Argostoli on Kefalonia. Minor uninhabited islands around Zakynthos included in the municipality and regional unit are: Marathonisi, Pelouzo, Agios Sostis in the Laganas bay; Agios Nikolaos, near the eponymous harbor on the northern tip; and Agios Ioannis Listenwave Photography

Kolymvari (Greek: Κολυμβάρι, Δήμος Κολυμβαρίου), also known as Kolymbari (Greek: Κολυμπάρι), is a town and former municipality in the Chania regional unit, Crete, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Platanias, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 149.994 km2 (57.913 sq mi).It was part of the former Kissamos province which covered the northwest of Chania Prefecture.
Kolymvari is a working coastal town at the southern end of the Rodopou peninsula and is a local centre for commerce and fishing. It does not have a sandy beach and is thus not as popular with tourists as the nearby resorts of Maleme and Platanias. Near the town is the historic Moni Gonia Monastery. The Spiliakos river enters the sea at Kolymvari. The municipal unit of Kolymvari covers the Rodopou peninsula at the end of the Gulf of Chania and some villages to the south. Most of the peninsula is uninhabited and rather barren, with most villages close to Kolymvari at the southern end. The municipal unit also includes Rodopou, Afrata, Vasilopoulo, Spilia, Kares, Episkopi, Vouves, Glossa, Panethimos, Nochia, Deliana, Drakona, Ravdouchas, Kalidonia, and Kamisiana.

Taking pictures a tool (camera), not a photographer.
The choice of tool limits the possibilities.
Experience allows him (instrument) less and less to limit their capabilities.
The ability to see is given only when the observer allows ...
The moment of observation is the real find ...
Training and mastering it defies. Training leads to poor imitations of the original.
Often the result should ripen, like wine. Although time is the understanding of the mind, therefore it is very speculative.
The meaning of all this is the process!

Often we are visited by thoughts that may reveal something unknown ... Our mind many times tries to solve a problem with known methods ... This is its main mistake! The path of the heart opens the doors that appear in our path. It is a pity that not everyone has the courage to insert the keys that are always with us ...

I would be in heaven if it was!

Some lucky person owns this weekend house on the Eyjafjörður in the north of Iceland. The fjord, the longest in Iceland, is long and narrow, measuring 60 km from mouth to bottom. Its greatest width is 25 km between Siglunes and Gjögurtá at the fjord's mouth but for the greater part of its length it is usually 6–10 km wide.

Genesis - Home by the sea
the title has been appropriated from a line in the song by Genesis "Home by the Sea" (live version here which, when I heard it, brought this picture to mind -- rose bush leaves casting a shadow on the wall of the house

Terrace details.
Calmwater Cliff House is located on a cliff by the beach. Two floors with a terrace on each floor. Downstairs you find a spacious kitchen and dining area, a bathroom and home office. Upstairs you find a music corner with sea view, a bedroom and the main entrance.
As you see it´s a LEGO house and I´ve mainly used the colours black, dark tan, tan and reddish brown.
I wanted to make a modern home - in some way inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and the colours of the 20th century - updated to 21st century lifestyle.
Scandinavian Sea House MOC is a small - but functional - house by the sea. It is shaped like an L and located somewhere in the Swedish archipelago. Downstairs you find a small TV-room and kitchen next to a guest room and a laundry room. A storage space is hidden underneath the staircase, that leads up to the master bedroom. And now we come to the best part - the home spa! Here you find a Turkish bath and resting chairs in a peaceful environment with a panorama sea view. Double glass doors lead to the roof terrace outside.
