Yaupon holly is native to southeastern North America. The word yaupon was derived from the Catawban yą́pą, from yą- tree + pą leaf. Another common name, cassina, was borrowed from Timucua. The Latin name comes from an observation by early Europeans that the ingestion of the plant was followed by vomiting in certain ceremonies.
The flowers are 5–5.5 mm diameter.

A well lit morning eastbound down the CN Holly sub isn't that common but on this morning a later running CN 450 with a pair of BNSF units up front roll through the Historic town of Holly. The C&O signals on both the LSRC side of the diamond and on the south of the CN holly sub, the former depot and the tower still standing offer a lot of classic shots in town that show little change over the years.
This is a sea holly bud in front of a tie-dye background. I created this image yesterday during a flower photography workshop at Hunt's Photo in Melrose.

do the following effect on the duplicated layer :
Filter >> Other >> High Pass >> 6.9 >> ok
on the duplicated layer as well, browse out the blending modes which in the same layer box operation and then choose the best mode fit your pic but I prefer to select Vivid Light

There is a huge holly bush in our backyard that is the perfect hideout for many of the birds who visit our yard.
At any given time, we can look out and see birds perched here and there, like these two male and female Northern Cardinals. All just sitting and checking out the feeders, trying to decide which one to visit, or maybe even waiting for an opening at one of their favorites.
