Fallow deer buck, another shot I found looking through old files, I posted a similar one back then but this one slipped through the net. I rather liked the way he looked so thoughtful.

What another quinkydink !
I spent several hours house sitting last week and found myself alone on a balcony with a table and 2 chairs. The view was nice, the sun was out, the temperature was just right, not a cloud in the sky, a very slight breeze was present and all was going well except for a few things.
No TV, No Internet, No Computer, No Music, No Microwave, No NOTHING.
What was I to do?
Well, I thought this might be a positive actually. Nothing to do but just relax and blend in with the sounds of nature. I haven't done nothing for quite some time.
After about an hour of listening to some unimaginative chirping sounds emanating from a nearby bird (over and over and over again), I began to go berserk. So I reached for my camera and discovered an outdoor colorful rug underneath the table and I began taking macro shots.
Nice pattern I thought for this one. Excellent colors in this pattern for another. Interesting close-up as I zoomed in on yet another pattern. Pattern after pattern I happily clicked away till my shutter screamed, "Enough already."
What was I going to do with all of these shots of various patterns from this rug? Dunno. At least I took some interesting photos. I was sure I would find a purpose somewhere down the road.
Well here's the quinkydink! On Wednesday or Thursday, I looked up the theme for Macro Monday to see what I might do for it. Guess what ? It was PATTERNS !!! How weird is that ??
So... here you go. A MACRO PATTERN shot for Macro Monday and I didn't have to scramble for it either. HMM!
