These are yooperlites we've found up by Whitefish Point.
A Yooperlite found in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and I've been told can find them on Lake Michigan shores down to Chicago. Erik Rintamaki a Michigan man made the discovery of a lifetime when he stumbled on glowing rocks on the beaches of Lake Superior. The rocks, which he named "Yooperlites" emit an eerie glow, appearing to be partially molten rock.
Black Light UV Flashlight: This is what will help you find your Yooperlites. Without an ultraviolet light, the rocks won't glow, so a good quality UV light is a must.
The patterns of icicles are always good. Reminded me of my youth when we would grab them off the side of a garage and have sword fights with our friends! I think I was a Pirate in my previous life!
