These are yooperlites we've found up by Whitefish Point.

A Yooperlite found in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and I've been told can find them on Lake Michigan shores down to Chicago. Erik Rintamaki a Michigan man made the discovery of a lifetime when he stumbled on glowing rocks on the beaches of Lake Superior. The rocks, which he named "Yooperlites" emit an eerie glow, appearing to be partially molten rock.

Black Light UV Flashlight: This is what will help you find your Yooperlites. Without an ultraviolet light, the rocks won't glow, so a good quality UV light is a must.

So this is where I ended up. I worked three 12 hour days in this heat, in a factory that makes vinyl siding. This means there are extruders in there. Adding to the heat. I drive a lift truck which is like sitting on a BBQ. After 25 years I am gaining some tolerance. I am now on beer three.
