I have no idea what this hummingbird is doing, but it sure looks like it fell off the perch! Normally I wouldn't include the feeder in the photograph, but this time I couldn't resist.
Quizás o al menos para mi, la cala más bonita de Menorca, con unas aguas totalmente cristalinas y que para los amantes de la fotografía no necesitamos filtros para sedar el agua, pues con un disparo rápido consigues el mismo efecto prácticamente

Life too hard? Hit the road. I really wanted to, but its a private road that leads down to the river so I had to refrain. To old to go to jail. ;) The covid 19 is affecting so many peoples behavior I avoid them like they are the plague. I prefer solitude.
Yesterday it hit 58F here in NJ, and yet it started snowing at the early hrs. this morning @32F now. Glad it's soft snow, just covered the trees and hedges, no need to shovel. It is so beautiful out there, that I had to make a trip to our local county park.
I am taking a break from SL for a while, I let my temper get the better of me and did something I will always regret, Thanks to all my friends and followers, its been a blast. Thank you to Chase for the last year and I am sorry. Thanks to other people that have been a special part of my life, you know who you are. I am not sure if or when I will be back, keep sl fun. Gerduberg's lava flowed in the Tertier era. The columns are 14 meters at their highest and around 1-1,5 meters wide. Gerduberg is listed as a natural heritage.
Fjallabak Nature Reserve. - Ljótipollur Lake 20210717
Although it is nothing else, this beautiful maar or volcanic crater bears the name ugly as a name. Ljótipollur translated means ugly puddle or ugly pond. But most craters that have lakes inside them are exceptionally scenic and photogenic. Ljótipollur is no exception with its light, vegetated slopes, and visible lava layers on the rim. The maars are usually quite deep because the water originates in the groundwater below and they have no streams entering or leaving the lake, only underground. Most often craters with small lakes have this beautiful turquoise blue color that gives the crater an added value for photographers.

Apparently there was a new game in the backyard today when I was out with the birds - "How close can you fly to the guy with the camera without hitting him." The win went to one of our Titmice heading towards the feeder, about a foot over my head. I could feel the moving air from his wings. Close second for one of the nuthatches that zoomed by, carrying a sunflower seed, right past my knee.

By the look of his mud-tipped bill, I'd say this ruddy duck hit bottom. I guess that's to be expected. From what I read they dive to the bottom of a pond and filter mud through some plates in their bill to get at aquatic invertebrates, plant matter and the like. Not sure I fully grasp the physical mechanism for this filtering process. Back to this guy. He'll need to clean that mud off - that ridiculously blue bill is there to attract the ladies during the breeding season (which is now)
... to get out from under this storm!
