FRANCE - Provence, Abtei de
Notre-Dame de Sénanque ist ein Kloster des Zisterzienserordens auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Gordes im Département Vaucluse, Frankreich.
Das Kloster wurde 1148 von Zisterziensermönchen aus der Abtei Mazan im Vivarais gegründet. Bemerkenswert ist die für Zisterzienser typische asketische Strenge. Diese wurde nicht nur in ihren Klosterregeln, sondern auch in der Architektur deutlich. Diesem Ideal entspricht das schmucklos-schlichte Kloster Sénanque.
Mittlerweile haben wir die Sonne im Meer versinken sehen. Aber auch dieser zurückhaltende Sonnenuntergang hinter Wolken hat mir gefallen.

Another image taken at Barr Lake with my good friend Linda. I've posted a similar image but I liked the vignetting on this one the hint of reflections and the lines made by the branches. There's a branch on the left that looks like a snake....it isn't.

Some of the leaves show fall colors, when hit by the early morning sun. The local Canada geese fly over Heather Farm Pond in Walnut Creek, California.

I finally made it up to Image Lake at Mt.Baker. My friend Mara was kind enough to drive while I caught up on sleep;-) The weather again was perfect for astrophotography and not a hint of wind. The water was so calm I thought it was frozen!
Das Hermelin lief hinter einer leichten Kuppe und so brachte die tiefe Perspektive nur den schnellen Jäger in die Schärfe, hingegen der Hinter- wie auch der Vordergrund wurden "Butterweich".
In April 2006 when I took this shot in southern New South Wales, there was a hint of autumn in the air.
Lake Pichola behind the city palace of Udaipur (Maharaja Udai Singh - the City is named after the ruler and founder.)
11 other palaces were builded around this beautiful palace
It is the largest complex in Rajasthan.
The lake was artificially designed.

Der Pichola See hinter dem Stadtpalast von Udaipur (Maharaja Udai Singh - die Stadt trägt den Namen des Herrschers und Gründers.)
11 andere Paläste wurden um diesen wunderschönen Palast gebaut. Es ist der größte Komplex in Rajasthan.
Der See wurde künstlich angelegt und besitzt einen Ablaufsee für die Monsunzeit.
