Visited these hills on a cold and frosty spring morning. The landscape was beautifully illuminated by the warm light of the rising sun.
Near the Panamint Springs entrance to Death Valley. Panamint Valley, so vast and desolate that it could be (was) mistaken by newcomers for Death Valley itself, lies to the east just beyond this hill.
Blessed are barns and those who see beauty in humble places.

We took a weekend trip to Ohio, and on our first morning there, I visited Hocking Hills State Park. Had a great time, seeing as much of the sights there that I could during the 7 hours I spent hiking and exploring the park.
It's called Wind Ridge for a reason. It was howling up here and difficult to remain standing upright. That's Pigeon Mountain on the left and the diagonal trail is Skogan Pass.
When I get back off this mountain, you can find me on Twitter
A long winding street called Steep Hill, built on a very steep hill in Lincoln .. with a lopsided lamp post:)
Easy going down and some conveniently placed benches to rest on the way up:)
One more of that fabulous place, just because this one was so different being all by itself.
