Eilean Donan Castle befindet sich am Loch Duich in den westlichen schottischen Highlands. Die Burg liegt auf einer kleinen Landzunge, die bei Flut zu einer winzigen Insel wird. Sie ist dann nur durch eine steinerne Fußgängerbrücke zu erreichen. Die Burg ist der Stammsitz des schottischen Clans der Macrae.
