This photo was taken from a restaurant in one of Kuala Lumpur's highrise buildings on the 36th floor called Evi Dining. Outside the dining area is a walkaround area on the outside offering views of the city. We dined with our friends Dato Long and Yee Yoon Lai.

History:

Umbraxus is the name given to this creature from the Shadow Dimension. It first appeared when it “attached” itself to the heroine known as Sable. At first, it hid its presence by appearing to be the manifestation of a super power that Sable possessed. It fed off of her heroics and reveled in the adrenaline rush of violence. The creature developed a sick, covetous obsession of Sable and manipulated her to become more violent. When she encountered Creed during a few outings, Umbraxus became jealous and its true nature revealed itself. After being defeated by Creed and Sable, Umbraxus sunk back in the shadows to prepare for its next assault on the unsuspecting city. Umbraxus’s powers are connected to the mysterious Shadow Dimension and therefore grant it powers over dark force energy and shadows. It also communicates using telepathy and has been shown to be vulnerable to light and light based attacks. Whatever motivation this creature has is a mystery, but it delights in the mayhem that ensues. No one knows how malicious the creature is, but dark times are ahead for the habitants of New Blok City.

Híd

Híd, minek?

A folyó híd nélkül is folyó.

Akkor mi a híd?

Hmm..., sorscsapás, ühüm, pomtosabban: sors csapás.

Margit híd or Margaret Bridge (sometimes Margit Bridge) is a bridge in Budapest, Hungary, connecting Buda and Pest across the Danube. It is the second northernmost and second oldest public bridge in Budapest. The second permanent bridge of Budapest, a distinguished example of French Neo-Baroque bridge-building in Hungary. Its construction was started twenty years after the inauguration of the Chain Bridge. It connects Szent István Boulevard and Margit Boulevard, also touching the Margaret Island.

The design competition of the bridge was launched in May 1871. There were 43 applicants altogether, the most noted English, French, German and Austrian engineers of the epoch among them. In the end, the plans of French architect Ernest Gouin came out ahead. His own bridge-building enterprise was charged with the construction. Thanks to its elegant, unobtrusive appearance, the Parisienne-stlye arch bridge designed by Gouin forms an integral part of the surrounding landscape of Budapest.

The bridge structure rests on seven pillars altogether: one central pillar, two riverside pillars and four riverbed pillars. Their ornated statues were carved by French sculptor Thabard in 1874. A plaque is embedded at the southern side of the central pillar, commemorating the date of the construction, as well as the name of the designer.

Margit híd or Margaret Bridge (sometimes Margit Bridge) is a bridge in Budapest, Hungary, connecting Buda and Pest across the Danube. It is the second northernmost and second oldest public bridge in Budapest.

It was planned by the French engineer Emile Gouin and built by his construction company, Maison Èmile Gouin (at present ‘’Société de constructions de Batignolles’’) between 1872-1876, the engineer in charge being Èmile Nouguier. Margaret Bridge is the second permanent bridge in Budapest after the Széchenyi Chain Bridge. This bridge leads up to Margaret Island, its two parts enclosing 150 degrees with each other at the embranchment towards the island. The reason for this unusual geometry lies in the fact the small extension to connect the Margaret Island was hastily inserted into the original design, but not built until two decades later due to lack of funds.

It is 637.5 m in length and 25 m in width.

Shot in an area known as Hidden Valley in Thousand Oaks Southern California. Lots of big expensive ranch properties with big expensive houses.

I had a big plan to create something like this pattern but with more pinwheels in it. and those would be arranged in a rather regular manner.

however, in the end this didn't work out as I had hoped. everything is where it's supposed to be. yet the pinwheels a hard to find. you mostly see the dark spots but the pinwheels around them are rather lost. it's a pity.

so in some way this is a disappointment. on the other of course the pattern still looks good. this is a "glass half full/half empty" situation :-))

....did a HID-conversion on the Caprice's headlights. Does it conflict with the car's classic integrity? Yes, I guess it does. Does it look better on it? No, not per sé. But it gives so much more light. Even in daylight it makes things cast shadows and it reflects the white lines on the road much better.

It made the Caprice a more usable car and this conversion can be easily undone when wanted....

The blueish-white light of the HID converted Hella H4's makes the headlights more modern and better usable.
