My mom's name was Helen and I have a good Flickr friend named Helen. Both like pink💕 My mom loved to get a box of chocolates from dad on Valentine's day. Not sure if my Flickr friend likes chocolates ;D
Thanks, Monique for the heart bokeh texture!

Meet Helen on my first few days in SL and not only has she helped with my millions on nub questions since but she has also been a great friend which ill always appreciate.
The Helen K is one of the two boats in the foreground of this photo (if you enlarge you'll clearly make out which). Autumn is in full swing now in Tasmania, as can be seen from the trees in the background.
Of all the shots I took during our riverside walk a couple of weeks ago, this one is my personal favourite.
Watching the different relationships each cow have with one another is really interesting. Just like humans they have their own clicks.
This was the first time I saw these two interact so affectionately and it made me happy because i initially thought they were both loners.
Helen is another of the cows I don't have much to do with but have noticed she is quite and polite.
She has recently had a calf and she will often take her calf away if I come by to take photos, so I am pretty sure that is her way of telling me to bugger off.
Some nice waves rolling in last night with the light fading and the tide rising. A lovely night on the shoreline looking out toward Tuskar from St Helen's Bay.
Remains of trees destroyed during the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, Washington state, 1980. This is the back side of Johnston's Ridge, where volcanologist David A. Johnston had his camp set up when the mountain blew. This approximately 4 miles from the mountain.

"I never had a 'project.' I would go out and shoot, follow my eyes... I tried to capture with my camera, for others to see."
Levitt (1913–2009) was an American photographer, particularly noted for "street photography" around New York City, and has been called "the most celebrated and least known photographer of her time." (Wikipedia; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helen_Levitt)

Washington series: Mount St. Helens.
I'm old enough to remember the news when Mount St. Helens erupted on May 18, 1980. This eruption remains the deadliest and most economically destructive volcanic event in U.S. history. Fifty-seven people were killed; 200 homes, 47 bridges, 15 miles of railways, and 185 miles of highway were destroyed. A massive debris avalanche, triggered by a magnitude 5.1 earthquake, caused a lateral eruption that reduced the elevation of the mountain's summit from 9,677 ft to 8,363 ft, leaving a 1 mile wide horseshoe-shaped crater which you can see in this picture taken from the Spirit Lake Highway. We wanted to drive up to the Johnston Ridge Observatory for the best view of the crater, but unfortunately the last 10 miles of the highway were closed due to a landslide.
Yesterday I hiked up to Helen Hunt Falls on the side of Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs. It's great to see Spring just starting to pop along the creek and beautiful rock formations. Helen Hunt was an American poet and activist for Native Americans, she was originally buried close to this area.
A beautiful carpet of spring wildflowers grows untouched at the foothills of Mount St. Helens 33 years after the mountain blew its top!!
