Handle with care - fragile heart. A fractured glass heart. A special little heart I've owned for quite a while and It's still quite special, even though it's seen better days.

So many songs with heart in the title to choose from but it had to be Blondie.
The IJ (pronounced [ɛi̯]; sometimes shown on old maps as Y or Ye) is a body of water, formerly a bay, in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is known for being Amsterdam's waterfront. Its name is an obsolete Dutch word meaning "water", derived from the West Frisian word ie "stream, small river" (from Germanic *ahwō, "water") and is cognate with Dutch Aa/Ee names for bodies of water. The name consists of the digraph ij, which behaves like a single letter. Therefore, both letters are capitalized; cf. IJmuiden.

Taken for the Macro Mondays group, on the theme of 'Inspired by a Song', this was - obviously - inspired by the Blondie song of the same name. It's a crystal pendant, on a red cloth as a backdrop, and using a piece of red foil as a reflector.

Amsterdam Centraal was designed by Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers and first opened in 1889. It features a Gothic/Renaissance Revival station building and a cast iron platform roof spanning approximately 40 metres. Since 1997, the station has been continuously undergoing reconstruction works because of the development of the North-South Line of the Amsterdam Metro, which was originally planned to be completed in 2014. Due to several setbacks, some at the Amsterdam Centraal building site, the line is now expected to open fully in 2018.
