Anthyllis vulneraria subsp. alpestris or Alpen-Wundklee in German is a medicinal plant: it can heal wounds. The closest translation in English that I've found is kidneyvetch or woundwort.

Hmmm, think I'll go for the "past life regression & soul retrieval." No telling what she might find. lol
Thank you all for your thoughtful comments. Please know this photo was taken in February of 2016, after hearing some sad news. As a way to experience and ultimately overcome my grief I did a series of self portraits. All is well and good now.
Too soon. I light another candle at the memorial I've set up for everyone I love but have no place to visit. Adding the two I have this year has nearly been as hard as when I created this for my dad. I wish I'd had the chance to say goodbye to the virtual sisters I've lost, but this is the best I can do.
Some would say they were only online friends, not real family. They may not have been blood, but they were chosen family. Family that I'll miss more than most of the family I was born into. They were real to me.

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England, two miles (3 km) west of Amesbury. It consists of an outer ring of vertical sarsen standing stones, each around 13 feet (4.0 m) high, seven feet (2.1 m) wide, and weighing around 25 tons, topped by connecting horizontal lintel stones. Inside is a ring of smaller bluestones. Inside these are free-standing trilithons, two bulkier vertical Sarsens joined by one lintel. The whole monument, now ruinous, is orientated towards the sunrise on the summer solstice. The stones are set within earthworks in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred tumuli (burial mounds). Archaeologists believe that Stonehenge was constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. [Wikipedia].
A blustery day (gusts of 40mph, according to the forecast), but sunny with cloud. TPE (The Photographers Ephemeris) showed good side lighting in the mid-morning, which was ideal for the shot I had planned from the day before (which was cloudy and wet).

The Domènech i Montaner Hall is a ceremonial space in the Administration Pavilion of the Hospital de Sant Pau, Barcelona, Spain.
It blends architectural grandeur with artistic detail — vaulted ceilings, vibrant mosaics, and sculptural flourishes — reflecting the hospital’s original mission: to heal in beauty and dignity.
Once the administrative heart of the hospital complex, it now serves as a tribute to the visionary spirit behind one of Europe’s most beautiful medical institutions.
♥ Thank you very much for your visits, faves, and kind comments ♥
After the area was devastated by a fire, signs of healing are appearing. In this image the burned trees stumps stand in new grass growth and a pond formed after the rains reflects the stumps and pond reeds, Algae growing in the pond creates the green foreground. Route X-904, Tortel, Patagonia.

The beautiful spiral staircase in Heal's Furniture Store (founded in 1810) on Tottenham Court Road.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heal%27s
Designed by Ambrose Heal’s cousin, the architect Cecil Brewer, the HEAL’S spiral staircase was completed in 1916 with an echoing helix of lights installed after the Second World War. A refurbishment project in 2013 saw this design landmark restored to its former glory, with a bespoke Bocci chandelier ensuring the staircase is ready for another hundred years of use.

First time I have tried to be the first image in the Smile on Saturday group, failed miserably. Hope you like it though.
I just love photographing spiral staircases! Please – comment below if you know of other spiral staircases!
I love the shapes the spiral makes at different angles. This staircase is at Heal’s furniture store in London just off Tottenham Court Road. I published the staircase from the top, but I always take a look at both the top and the bottom of the staircase for a different views. In the case of Heal’s, they have a little, almost private, sitting area at the bottom – I guess they’ve had visitors to the staircase before ! I could lay on the floor without other shoppers staring at me and explore the curves.
The flowers have yellow rays and are arranged into small heads on branched pyramidal shaped inflorescences, flowering occurs from July to October. It has a rhizomatous growth habit, which can produce large colonies of clones. This goldenrod can be found growing on disturbed sites, along dry road sides to moist thickets.
Canada goldenrod is visited by a wide variety of insects for its pollen and nectar, including bees, wasps, flies, beetles, butterflies, and moths. It is especially strongly favored as a nectar source by bumblebees and paper wasps, such as Polistes parametricus and Polistes fuscatus. Aside from wasps, it is also visited frequently by honeybees and some butterflies, such as monarchs.
The scientific name of the genus Solidago is derived from the Latin. solidare - “heal”, “strengthen”, “heal” (or solidus - “strong”, “dense”), which is associated with the medicinal properties of goldenrod.
Heal’s Department Store in London features a stunning spiral staircase also known as the Brewer Staircase. The hypnotic whirl spins up to the fourth floor and takes customers to the Mansard Gallery. It is a popular attraction among the architecture aficionados. The stairs were designed by architecture Cecil Brewer in 1916.
…..A rather fancy & ornate wall from the 1880’s on the side of what was the Ear Nose and Throat Hospital in Shrewsbury! An amazing building that closed in 1998 - I remember being treated there a couple of times as a young lad. It is now called Kingsland Bridge Mansion Apartments - very nice they are too!! Looking at the scene depicted I thought of the Blues song by John Lee Hooker with Santana ‘The Healer’ see link if you have the time. A few ailments have been 'healed' here during its time as a Hospital. Happy Wall Wednesday folks, Alan:-)…..
