The Ralph Court Gardens at Edwyn Ralph near Bromyard has 12 amazing gardens set in the grounds of a gothic rectory. There are so many surprising and interesting things there, it's well worth a visit. One of the things I found was a tableau of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. He was enormous and I found him a bit scary!

16. Strange in 52 in 2018 Challenge
The mad Hatter had a huge big head.
She made all her hats in her own size.
She even designed a merrygoround on her head.
Unfortunately,
She never sold any one of them,
because her size fitted no body else.
The Hatter had a pet called ‘Watch’.
Watch was a mysterious, weird creature in the Underland.
Just ask it ‘what day is today?’,
it would show you by looking at the right direction.
The watch never spoke, because it didn’t have a mouth.

A re-creation of John Tenniel's Mad Hatter illustration from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The illustration was also used by Charisma records as their logo.

The Hatter opened his eyes very wide on hearing this; but all he said was, `Why is a raven like a writing-desk?'
`Have you guessed the riddle yet?' the Hatter said, turning to Alice again.
`No, I give it up,' Alice replied: `what's the answer?'
`I haven't the slightest idea,' said the Hatter.
`Nor I,' said the March Hare.
Alice sighed wearily. `I think you might do something better with the time,' she said, `than waste it in asking riddles that have no answers.'
`If you knew Time as well as I do,' said the Hatter, `you wouldn't talk about wasting it. It's him.'
`I don't know what you mean,' said Alice.
`Of course you don't!' the Hatter said, tossing his head contemptuously. `I dare say you never even spoke to Time!'

Top hat with a strip of green tape around it and a card made with tape tucked in, HP Marcus Fint head, Frodo torso with a bow tie made with tape, dark brown legs with tape shoes. The coat is hand-cut by me.
