I drive across this bridge on my commute to work... I have a love and hate relationship with where I work at the moment in Perthshire. I love the area... its a beautiful place to work in... but the 64mile commute for a job I love that starts at 730am and finishes at 6pm is hellish! To manage some photography I'm burning the candle at both ends... this was taken at 6am on Friday... just a wee stop off on my way to work. Im looking at finding spots not too far out my way I can try and catch before work!
It's a single shot HDR just to bring out the subtle sky tones better... I processed it more traditionally first but the tones in the sky just where not resinating as I'd seen them... The HDR rendered a better shot... with the contrast bumped up a little... If you know the area... I also inpainted out the double tree hotel from the far side... I wish we could do that with some buildings in real life! LOL
and runs it into a shoestring ;-)

I'm often struck at the differences in styles, preferences, and processing that photographers/artists display and pursue.
One loves realism, another prefers an abstract look.
Some want pure, out of camera images, others love graphics and a lot of manipulation.
I guess I like it all and dabble with any style and representation that strikes my fancy.
The image above is a perfect example of that.
Love it or hate it, that's fine. Art is about freedom and it is about expression, and whatever makes the artist happy. It's not always about what others think and how it will be received or embraced.
So, enjoy... (if you can) Either way, it's all good :)
I hate what I see. I'm angry. Don't listen to London anymore. Refuse to be a mere appendix to 'market forces'. Don't want to constantly reconstruct my identity and my life in line with 'globalisation'. Don't want to be a looser all the time. Who is going to tell me what I want to hear? Tell me who I truly am? Give me certainty, and a purpose! Give me a hammer, and I will kick them! I will believe and follow you, destruction or not. Hate is my capital.
It snowed again last night which created puddles in the gutter. I am drawn to them just like a little kid. My husband hates when I play in the gutter because he doesn't want me to get hit by a car. I get so into what I am doing that it really could happen but I love the reflections and dreamy emptiness it creates. Oh and this is the cute little gift I bought myself last night.
So my 100 day project of spring cleaning my life is really not moving in the right direction. Between spring break, crazy weather and my inability to get motivated it has stalled. I am vowing to jump in where I am and start again today.
This would be a kicka** car to drive!

I have such a love/hate relationship with snails. I love how cute and photogenic they are. I hate them eating the strawberries and plants in my garden and I hate accidentally stepping on them. Perhaps the ducks that are hanging out in the yard can be coaxed into searching for snails? What do you have a love/hate relationship with?

Ergh.
Im not a fan. Infact I havent been happy with a photo since day 122.
I hardly ever like my photos but these days I mainly hate them. Its not because of 365, I uploaded photos I didnt like before that but Im just getting sick of trying to avoid looking at my own pictures. Maybe i'll start taking better ones this week, its my half term. I'll try.
buuuut on the upside I do like my autumn crown/tiara, thats a good thing at least :D
