Meanwhile on the lake, ducks glide silently and make ripples on its calm waters. There is something nostalgic in the reflections of the golden trees in the water. The trees become as abstract as an old painting, not in oil or acrylic, but in colored water.

The maple tree flowers drop in the water faster than I can clean them out. The critters don't seem to mind. It's very peaceful watching them drink.
