"Good friends are hard to find, hard to lose, and impossible to forget: - Valerie M.

Captured just after sunset in Bayfront Park, Hamilton, Ontario.

Though these are hard to find in the forest (they like to stay near the top of the canopy), if you learn their song, they are more common in their range than you may realize. While on a 3 mile hike today, I listened to no less than 4 individuals singing on territory.

I am finding Scarlet Tanager shots are also quite challenging to process in post-editing as their red has a tendency to blow out the color.

I genuinely love this outfit and frankly it was really hard to find a theme to work with it. This picture feels like a celebrity posed photo, lol one of the first I am almost happy with since I started doing photos again.

All you've got is this moment

Twenty-first century's yesterday

You can care all you want

Everybody does, yeah, that's okay

So slide over here and give me a moment

Your moves are so raw, I've got to let you know

I've got to let you know

You're one of my kind

I need you tonight

'Cause I'm not sleepin'

There's somethin' about you, girl

That makes me sweat

How do you feel? I'm lonely

What do you think? Can't think at all

What you gonna do? Gonna live my life

It is really getting harder to find the insects now...

I had several flower shots taken last week, so I´ll be uploading some of them as requested by my friend Blauearth

Have a nice weekend everyone!!

It's hard to find a view any better than of Peyto Lake. It is just off the Icefields Parkway, Alberta, Canada. The color of the water truly original and not enhanced. Glacier mineral run-off creates this incredible color. Nature is astounding.

🎶 CORINNA ROSE - GREEN MOUNTAIN STATE

Lyrics

Slow it down we've almost reached the borderline

Just baby steps and I think we'll be just fine

Look out your window at the snow

The frost and the leaves on the ground below

And I'll think of you when I awake

You keep my secrets locked away

Green Mountain State

Ground my feet I wanna wrap my arms around the world

Wish I could protect you from those monsters

Unforgiving strangers

It's hard to find the right image to slide, but I think this one works pretty good. Austin has this great little lake in the middle of town and on a pretty weekend, there are hundreds of people on it canoeing and paddle boarding , OK, maybe not that many..;) But a lot, nonetheless...:)

Going to a festival in Dripping Springs Sunday. Hope it isn't too hot

Have you ever been with somebody that makes you feel wild?

You couldn't beat this at all if you tried

In the darkest of nights when our bodies collide

That love that is so hard to find

No lo puedo negar, en mis sueños estás

Este juego me vuelve a atrapar

Y me gusta, no quiero escapar

Dime cuál es tu plan

¿Dónde quieres llegar?

Tu fuego me vuelve a quemar

Y yo

Growing in a hair style for fun.

It's hard to find good men's hair in SL. I have been complaining about it forever, most recently all week. Many of the styles look like what I call a NYC sized rat resting on your head. I'm sure much of that has to do with how I size it on my head but I've never had great luck with that.

I've been happy in the past with Vango and my most incredible friend reminded me that I did wear Vango a few years back. I hopped over to Vango and 15 minutes later fell into this. I also noticed another longer style that this hair could "grow" into if I wanted to. The Vango hairbase that I purchased with it really did the trick to solidify the look.

So I'll give this hairdo a week or so and see how I feel about it.

It was hard to find this little church it was down a small country lane and then you had to walk across a meadow . Rather glad we did find it , not sure if it is the smallest church in England but it does have great charm

Lullington Church, also known as the Church of the Good Shepherd, on the South Downs at Lullington in East Sussex is one of several churches claimed to be the smallest church in England. It was built from the remains of the chancel of an earlier church that was destroyed by fire, generally believed to have occurred at the time of Oliver Cromwell. It measures a mere 160 feet square and seats 20 people.

The original church is believed to date from the late 12th or early 13th century and was built as a chapel in the parish of Alfriston, owned by Battle Abbey, and later became a separate parish.

Hard to find a bird plainer than the Juniper titmouse. However, the oak titmouse is an identical match. At one time the Oak and Juniper titmice were one species appropriately named the plain titmouse.

A resident babbler, but hard to find one whose habitat is grasslands and dry farmlands found scattered across the state. The bird doesn't sound like a babbler even whose calls are often a cacophony of coarse noises. The behaviour too is unlike other babblers which are social birds and often found in groups of 3-4 or more.

We sighted more than a dozen of them on this day much to my delight. They were busy playing with each other and few of them were seen with twigs in their beaks, sign of nest building. Not sure where they would nest though on high trees or low bushes.

Thank you so much in advance for your views, feedback and faves.

Should've taken some step ladders

Grafton Wood is a bit of a hot spot for the tiny Brown Hairstreak, but they are usually very hard to find at ground level. This year has been exceptional, in that the males, which usually spend their time in the treetops, feed on honeydew up there and are hardly ever seen low down, have been coming down 'in numbers' to nectar on Angelica and Hemp Agrimony, which would indicate a dearth this year of honeydew and the aphids that produce it, perhaps washed off the trees in the heavy showers we have been having. The females do come down to lay eggs low down in young blackthorn shoots, but are usually slightly later emerging than the males which have been out here for about 10 days now. I only saw 3 yesterday, but on Thursday, 16 males and one female were spotted in one short length of ride.

It was a long hot day with an 87 mile drive there and back and the light wasn't great: brash and often the butterflies meant shooting into the sun, but great to see these little jewels. Once seen they could be watched for ages creeping around the huge umbelliferous flower heads, seeking and drinking the nectar. You had to, to get the photos in the right position! They rarely open wings when settled.

Black swallowtails have been hard to find so far this summer but maybe finding this male at Ludwig Prairie today is the start of a population surge and the swallowtail season will finish with a flurry in September!

It was hard to find the fence under the vines and bushes. I think this neighbor is letting his back yard go back to nature.

Sandhill cranes have been very secretive and hard to find at Cardinal Marsh for the past month, but this male was out in the open and trying to lead me away from an area where his mate was hiding, so I'm quite sure she was taking care of at least one colt.

I had to look hard to find color this time of year in the garden... but it's out there!!

Interestingly, I've seen this very hard to find species on July 4th three times, in 2018, 2019 and now in 2021. July 4th is definitely my lucky day!

Mysteriously hard to find and a tree connoisseur’s treasure, the exquisite Korean Sweetheart Tree is named for its splendid heart-shaped vivid cherry red seed capsules, which appear in fall and later unveil round shiny black seeds. Unparalleled deciduous foliage—thick, lustrous, emerald green and lanceolate—garbs the slow growing horizontal branches that manifest stunning purplish mocha-colored bark with milky white stripes.

Introduced by the late JC Raulston after a 1985 expedition to the Korean Peninsula, this lovely small tree celebrates year-round intrigue, remaining undeterred by drought, pests or disease. ( from diggingdog.com)

Have a nice day :-)

Viceroys have been very hard to find where I normally seek butterfiles and other wildlife. Indeed, I have not photographed any since 2015. However, in three locations during a search for Sandhill Cranes in eastern Manitoba on Friday Viceroys were quite prevalent. On one stretch of road of about 3 km, I counted 15. It is interesting to find small pockets like these in the middle of much larger area voids elsewhere where they used do be seen regularly.

~ Endless days

We search for what we hold inside

So hard to find

Luck turns

Will the fallen ever reach within

And rise again

For the rest of my life

I will find the answers

That were always here

I will find the meaning this time

I will fight the end

Till the end is here ~

The Mergansers were hard to find in Las Gallinas. This guy took off as soon as we got close, he was there only long enough for us to get this one picture. The drake of this large, fish-eating bird has a long, thin, pointed, bright red bill, a dark green head, a black back and white chest, flanks and belly. Common Mergansers have a long slender appearance in flight.

It's hard to find waterfalls in Missouri. Lol.

I had the opportunity to visit the Meramec Springs Park in St. James, Missouri over the weekend. The Park contains the fifth largest spring in the state. An average of 100 million gallons of water flows from the Spring daily. Maramec Spring Park contains 1,860 acres of forest and fields.

Giant puffballs are not that hard to find on the forest floor when they fruit now in the fall. Just look for somebody's lost soccer ball. I've always liked one of their more colorful common names - moon melon - and you can even see small craters on this one's smooth white skin. Slice them up with a long sharp knife just like a loaf of homemade bread and fry the slices like French toast - a fantastic treat.

It has been getting harder and harder to find birds, and specifically the lovely Robins at Woodlands, there seems to be less and less birds around. Yesterday I managed to find Mr Red-capped Robin for the first time this year, and as usual he was quite accomodating, not seeming to mind my presence too much.

The Red-capped Robins are such delightful little birds, it's so good to just observe them hunting and flitting about. Getting a few nice photos is just a bonus. Beware Red-capped Robins photos coming the next few days.

Hard to find anything much sweeter than this duckling, swimming and doing little duckling quacks.

Sweet, but sad, I think. This duckling was swimming alone. Its little duck-paddling feet took it all over the NW corner of the lake. There were no other ducklings around, and not a single adult duck of any kind, anywhere on that part of the lake. This one just keep paddling around...looking, and calling.

As with so many things in nature, we'll never know how it turns out. May be fine...may not be. In the mean time, it does make for a definitively sweet portrait.

On my recent travels I headed up to Ben Lawers NR in the Scottish Highlands, only a hour drive from where I stay. I went in search of the elusive mountain ringlet. I went up last year however decided to cancel as there was an extreme heat warning and there is no cover on the hill. This is a hard to find butterfly with only known colonies known to be at Ben Lawers and the Lake District. This species only operates at mountain level around 350m. They have a short life cycle of about 3/4 weeks, and if it isn’t warm enough to fly they tend to rest in the tall shrubbery and bracken. This makes them hard to find as you could easily walk past one nestled in the grass. I got very lucky as the day I went up a few weeks ago I didn’t see any as again it was cold. Then as we headed back down towards the nature trail we saw one on the ground, he hopped on to my friends hand. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

i had a day off work today and had decided to try and photograph roughting linn a hard to find waterfall in northumberland after looking at this shot taken on holy island today you'll have realised i didn't find it even with the help of google maps. thank you for taking the time to look. anchorage michelle shocked.

It is very hard to resist to stop taking snap after seeing this bird! This is a Blue throated barbet: The blue-throated barbet (Psilopogon asiaticus) is an Asian barbet having bright green, blue and red plumage, seen across the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. This bird is very common but hard to find/locate in green trees.

It's getting harder to find clothes that are made of comfortable fabric, and that fit and wear well. So for hanging out at home, I have been tending lately to wear old, comfortable clothes all the way to the bitter end, patching as necessary until they just won't go any further.

This shirt has reached that point, I think. The last time I washed it, the fabric was so weak that it came out of the machine with a 10-inch-long rip on the seam across the back. You see one end of that rip here.
