To me the story for this 'scene' isn't what was shown in A New Hope but I feel like for me it would have been a cool scene to see. After dropping Luke and Leia on Yavin 4 and departing with their reward, Chewie convinces Han the right thing to do is to return and help destroy the Death Star.
Han Solo lingers in limbo, frozen in Carbonite.
The Wikipedia entry for Carbonite (see the List of fictional elements, materials, isotopes and atomic particles) defines carbonate as, "a cryonic alloy, carbonite was originally used to keep tibanna gas fresh. The chamber in the Cloud City of Bespin was reconfigured to provide stasis for Luke Skywalker for his transport to Emperor Palpatine. It was tested on Han Solo, whom Boba Fett then transported to Jabba the Hutt to collect a price on Solo's head. It was then used to transport criminals. One known side effect of being encased in carbonite is temporary blindness." Yeah, that, and also you can't move until Leia comes to rescue you, neither.

The Red Carpet Report team were on the red carpet as Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Joonas Suotamo, with director Ron Howard and producers Kathleen Kennedy and Simon Emanuel walked down the red carpet, which also had the Millennium Falcon for fans to fawn over!
