I did these few works around 2009-2010, probably after viewing images of persons from elsewhere on the planet protecting themselves from the H1N1 virus. I'm totally not sure though.
This material has remained in my drawers ever since. I was unsure what to do with it at the time. Suddenly it becomes topical again.
For my part, I have exhausted the reasons not to go back to painting actively. We’ll see what comes out of the current confinement.
Take good care of yourselves and your dear ones.
what a beautiful afternoon to get out and enjoy life. I got my H1N1 shot today then headed out and found a small piece of beach I hadn't been to before.

Haven't shoot anything for a while, didn't go to see sunset/sunrise, or drive to anywhere else Auckland either. So, digging images from my fridge is the only thing I can do now. Tomorrow will be different, as I'm going to the south again, hopefully I can get something this time, especially on the 9th I am going to shoot the sunrise at Lake Matheson, take care and stay away from the H1N1 my friends!

I know it seems like it has been one thing after another. I have asked for continued prayer for my daughter upon discovering she was pregnant.
Prayers have helped them get through what they suspected may have been a tubal pregnancy......it was NOT. An entire Sunday spent in the hospital undergoing tests...proved that the baby was where he / she belonged. Praise God for that.
Prayers have helped get her through a hematoma. She had a blood clot inside of her uterus beside the baby. It was discovered on her sonogram and they had to watch it every two weeks with a new sonogram. It has now gone away. Praise God for that.
NOW....she has been very sick since Saturday. She missed teaching school Monday ( yesterday ) and again today. Today she went to the doctor.
SHE HAS SWINE FLU.
Her husband is on his way home from school to pick up her Tamiflu and also an antibiotic at the drug store, as she also has a bad sinus infection. She was too weak to go get it and she just had to try and get herself home.
For about a week or so before she got sick ( last Saturday she got sick ) she was freezing freezing cold. Everyone else was hot or comfortable. With her being newly pregnant ( due May 10 ) it was thought possibly just feeling pregnant. Well...I think it was the Swine Flu starting in her body.
She's had a lot of her students absent and gone longer than a week at a time. The kids have been really sick.
All I ask is to keep praying for her....and her little baby. She means the world to me. Your prayers have helped so much in the past. I'm counting on God to hear all of them again and get her through this. She is so sick.
Thank you dear friends.

masks got to help some when being around people caughing and sneezing.... and of course washing hands immediatly after being out, having touched money, handles and shaking hands etc....
in the end staying home will help!.........
if it starts spreading more rapidly in the next few days they are now talking about shutting the intire Mexico City down!
Allegedly, this jab prevents succumbing to the current global pandemic. So now I'll have to be the one picking up medicine and dropping off stale ginger ale for everyone.

The 1918 H1N1 flu pandemic (America's "forgotten pandemic"), sometimes referred to as the “Spanish flu,” killed an estimated 50 million people worldwide, including an estimated 675,000 people in the United States. An unusual characteristic of this virus was the high death rate it caused among healthy adults 15 to 34 years of age. The pandemic lowered the average life expectancy in the United States by more than 12 years.
MESSAGE TO THE MASKLESS....."Wear a Mask or Go To Jail".... same problem one hundred years later...haven't we learned??

I got my H1N1 shot today on the way home from work...hubby had his and thought I should get one too before we visit his elderly mom at Christmas...I am waiting for the "sore arm" everyone complains about...

I do not care if you feel differently than I do. I believe in freedom of speech, and thought. My opinion is not necessarily the most accurate one. As anyone who follows my stream knows, this is far from my normal image and description. I feel this is important enough an issue that I am highly interested in knowing what you think. Thank you!
I apologize in advance if the wording in my post is offensive (some of it may be). I am extremely angry with this entire farce. All opinions in this are just that my opinion (or that of the quoted source). Disclaimer is for sue happy assholes!! :) Any errors in my data are mine and mine alone ( or the quoted source).
I logged in to Yahoo tonight to find an article from the Associated Press relaying information released by the CDC (Center for Disease Control) which nearly triples the previous totals for death and illness associated with the H1N1 virus (commonly called swine flu). What a load of steaming bullshit!!!! This is an obvious scare tactic aimed at getting you to be afraid enough to go get stuck with their genocidal cocktail, err I mean vaccine. I followed up on this by reviewing the actual "study" which was a phone poll given to 1006 people. From this meager selection a number of nearly 4,000 deaths, and 22 million ill has been estimated. Who do they think they're fucking kidding?? Obviously you!
People across the country have been refusing to take the vaccine for this (most likely) man-made virus. I say man-made, as H1N1 is a combination of bird, pig, and human flu DNAs. I'm no scientist but I don't think this sounds even remotely natural. In fact, to me it sounds very much like a genetically manipulated virus. Hmm, I wonder if a large pharmacutical corporation, say one that makes insane amounts of money selling drugs and vaccines, would have the facilities necessary to do this? Makes one think.
Why are people refusing to take this "miracle" cure? Mostly, I've heard the word untested being used as the reason. The vaccine was tested for a total of seven days. Yet according to world renowned neurologist Dr. Russell Blaylock, in a video interview that I watched, it is commonly known within the non-pharmacutically paid scientific community that seizures may occur from vaccinations that may not begin for up to 6 months from the injection. Another common reason is Thimerosal. The mercury laced preservative used in many vaccines as a preservative. Every mother in the educated world knows not to let their children play with mercury, as it is readily absorbed into the body, causes neurological side effects, and once in NEVER leaves your system.
Yet the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved this shit for you, and especially your kids (target group), and oh yeah, pregnant women (target group), start 'em young folks. Why would the government agencies concerned with health and the protection of consumers of the health industry approve injections for us that may contain up to 100 times the amount of MERCURY allowable in drinking water? Hmm, why indeed? Could it possibly have anything to do with the staggering amounts of $$$$ to be made? Could the huge flux of pharmacutical lobby dollars in Washington D.C. have any affect on this deciscion? Duhhh!!!! Of course it does. The FDA says no plant based cures or derivitives are effective in fighting disease. They are not classifiable as drugs, and are considered inert in the human body. Luckily for British sailors of old (Limeys) no one had told them this information. So, sucking on limes, lemons or oranges, thereby ingesting vitamin C cured their scurvy. Why would the FDA say that no plant based medicine could be effective? Could it be that they can't make HUGE sums of money from holistic cures, and natural treatments? Not much profit in a scurvy cure that grows on trees folks.
Hey America, and anyone else in the "free" world wake the fuck up! You and your children are being poisoned for profit. And by the way, what a great means of population control. If the vaccine doesn't kill you outright, which it may, you also could be left sterilized or with a terrible neurological disorder (ie Autism, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, etc., etc., etc....) But, don't just take my word for it, do some research. The information is not even hard to find. Stop believing the controlled and regulated syndicated news agencies lies. Take your ass off the couch, turn off Survivor or whatever "reality" (LOL) show you are watching and look around. Shit ain't right!

Last month there was an outbreak of H1N1 at Bowdoin College. There were at least 160 cases out of a student population of 1800... pretty significant.
This statue of Joshua Chamberlain stands on the edge of Bowdoin's campus. I got a chuckle when I saw his mask. The statue is tall. Someone had to work hard or get help to get this mask on him.
Emily Davey, Ann Arbor, who is 6-months pregnant with her first child, gets a dose of the H1N1 flu shot vaccine from nurse Kathy Webster inside the Washtenaw Intermediate School District Building, Tuesday afternoon, October 27th where a clinic was held. The clinic was scheduled to run from 3-9 p.m., but with only about 1,000 doses of the vaccine, the clinic had to start turning people away by 4 p.m.

Health workers wearing protective clothing outside a hotel , after a guest staying there was confirmed to be suffering from swine flu, in Hong Kong on May 1, 2009.
Hong Kong reported its first confirmed case of swine flu, Chief Executive Donald Tsang said. 'We have our first confirmed swine flu case in Hong Kong. He is Mexican,' Tsang told reporters. The Mexican arrived in Hong Kong on April 30, from Mexico via Shanghai, Tsang said. He was admitted to hospital on Thursday night suffering fever and tested positive on Friday for swine flu. He was in stable condition, Tsang said. The hotel in Wanchai district where he had been staying had been cordoned off, he said.

wow. i did it. i kinda can't believe it.
i wasn't completely sold when michael & james bullied talked me in to doing a second year of 365. but i gave it a go, and what do you know. totally made it to the finish line. i'm still not sure where my numbering got messed up (technically, yesterday should have been my last day), but that's okay. i think the week of film shots in the summer might have had something to do with it.
i'm just happy to have made it all the way through. thanks to all of you who have been along for the ride.

As the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths rise back up by some 10%~20% locally in October 2020, more and more people tend to socialize in closer proximity. These are all new territories for our generations and who knows, maybe this is the most effective way to bring about an endemic rather than wait for the vaccine that may never materialize. At this time, there is still no licensed vaccine for the 1918 pandemic influenza (A-H1N1 Spanish Flu) that is known to have killed some 50 million people.

The 1918 influenza pandemic was the most severe pandemic in recent history. It was caused by an H1N1 virus with genes of avian origin.
Although there is not universal consensus regarding where the virus originated, it spread worldwide during 1918-1919.
In the United States, it was first identified in military personnel in spring 1918.
It is estimated that about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States.

I was at a conference at the Sacramento Convention Center in the middle of those tall buildings I usually shoot from the Wildlife Sanctuary.
I was on a break and strolling around looking at all of the sculptures and fountains when out of the corner of my eye I saw this bright yellow thing...I do believe it is a wolf in a yellow suit with wolf platform shoes.
I had to get a shot of this and of course no camera...except my trusty iPhone. I removed glare from the windows and added a vignette for fun...oh maybe did a few more things.
Just for a smile and to send you off on your weekend with a laugh I hope.
Off to the doctor again...hoping for good news. I will visit all of you soon, I am still not well, but my mind is working...somewhat :)
