I gave up drinking alcohol a year ago and a further increase in my sweet-toothness seems to be an adverse consequence of that otherwise positive change.

So I have decided that I am going to totally give up sweets and chocolates at new year. I havent got a feel for whether this will be easy or if I will be successful long term. ...Worth a go anyway.

I will still eat cake though.

...Hoping my cake consumption isnt going to rocket as a knock on effect.....

If it does, I suppose I might have to give up cake for the 2026 New Year.

My Generation and family were brought up listening to crackly vinyl music and whilst I have embraced digital including down loads, I still play a few tunes (from my fairly substantial vinyl collection) on my trusted ‘Record Player’.
