I seem to be to be held to blame for so much. Even though I have little or no involvement in whatever it is. But one thing....import/export, that I do do. Brexit. Queues at the border. Reams and reams of paperwork. Delays of days. No cauliflowers in the shops. Customs duties, taxes, where are they all. Brexit bullshit! And I may have hung baubles on some extremities both publicly and privately but I can tell you, this Christmas tree I came across in a dark corner of Macclesfield Forest: I am NOT in the slightest bit responsible for it. Blame someone else, pleeeeaasse!

sweets and chocolate seem to be hard to resist for me these days.
When I was younger I didnt have a sweet tooth but I definitely do now.
I gave up drinking alcohol a year ago and a further increase in my sweet-toothness seems to be an adverse consequence of that otherwise positive change.
So I have decided that I am going to totally give up sweets and chocolates at new year. I havent got a feel for whether this will be easy or if I will be successful long term. ...Worth a go anyway.
I will still eat cake though.
...Hoping my cake consumption isnt going to rocket as a knock on effect.....
If it does, I suppose I might have to give up cake for the 2026 New Year.

My submission to Macro Monday’s new theme of guilty pleasure; no doubt like others I have more than one guilty pleasure but ever since I was a youngster I have been collecting music. My Generation and family were brought up listening to crackly vinyl music and whilst I have embraced digital including down loads, I still play a few tunes (from my fairly substantial vinyl collection) on my trusted ‘Record Player’. HMM

Life long doodler, school, college, work and home, no margin or paper was safe if I had something to write with.
I'm always attracted to small vintage looking items when I go to flea markets or antique fairs. I bought this little clock necklace at a flea market and my husband picked up this small old book!!

I vowed that today I'd wake up in good time to catch the sun rising over Earlswood Common... Silly me! Anyway, I had my fingers crossed when I made the vow so I don't feel guilty for missing it :-)
