She seems to think
She seems too weak
She takes a week
To get over it
She likes the sea
She likes to see
She likes to think
She has all of it
She likes the sound
She likes the sand
She likes to stand
She can't afford to sit
She likes to be
She likes to be
She likes to be
She's into guilt
Guilt
Guilt
Guilt
She likes to think
She likes to think
She seems too weak
She takes all the blame
She likes the time
She owns the time
She borrows time
As to self-invent
She seems too weak
She likes the sea
She likes to think
She has all of it
She likes the sand
She likes to stand
She likes to sit
She likes to go
Go
Go
Go
She seems to think
She seems to weak
She takes a week

you were never filthy enough for me
I see it now, so put together
across the table from me
flushed, red cheeks
yesterday I used your toothbrush
to clean the mould in the bathtub

The Servant Of Servants
Charles H. Spurgeon
"He humbled himself." [Philippians 2:8]
Jesus is the great teacher of lowliness of heart. We need, daily, to learn from him. See the Master taking a towel and washing His disciples’ feet! Follower of Christ, will you not humble yourself? See him as the Servant of servants, and surely you can not be proud! Is not this sentence the compendium of His biography, “He humbled himself”? Isn't it true to say that on earth he was always stripping off first one robe of honor and then another, till, naked, he was fastened to the cross, empty out His inmost self, pouring out his life-blood, giving it up for all of us, untill they laid Him penniless in a borrowed grave? How low was our dear Redeemer brought! How then can we be proud? Stand at the foot of the cross, and count the purple drops by which you have been cleansed; see the crown of thorns; mark His scourged shoulders, still gushing with encrimsoned rills; see hands and feet given up to the rough iron, and his whole self to mockery and scorn; see the bitterness, and the pangs, and the throes of inward grief, showing themselves in His outward frame; hear the thrilling shriek, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken Me?” (Mat.27:46). And if you do not lie prostrate on the ground before that cross, you have never seen it: if you are not humbled in the presence of Jesus, you do not know Him. You were so lost that nothing could save you but the sacrifice of God’s only Son. Think of that, and as Jesus stooped for you, bow yourself in lowliness at his feet. A sense of Christ’s amazing love to us has a greater tendency to humble us than even a consciousness of our own guilt. May the Lord bring us in contemplation to Calvary, then our position will no longer be that of the pompous man of pride, but we shall take the humble place of one who loves much because he has been forgiven much. Pride cannot live beneath the cross. Let us sit there and learn our lesson, and then rise and carry it into practice. Hallelujah, God bless

On first glance, the 19cm-35cm drawer doesn't look so bad, until I take stock of the fact that my Chibi Unoa and Saintbloom girls are missing. The chibis are almost on their way back from the faceup artist and Saintbloom Charlotte has gone for a wee holiday with Alexis. I can't prune anyone from this drawer. I thought about letting Tegwen go, but I didn't spend 2 years finding her look only to send her away!
Guilt assails me during yardwork. Inevitably, you have the weed whacker or the mower, and you're rumbling over the grass and patches of weeds, sending them to oblivion. Fine. Great. No problem.
Then you come to a pretty weed. A weed with a flower.
And you feel bad. I mean, it's obviously trying. It wants to play with the big boys, the sunflowers, the petunias.
Then, you're left wondering -- how many home garden plants began their lives as annoying weeds?
And then you think, "Why the hell am I thinking about this?" and just mow over the little bastards.
This guy, though, this little orange dude, was saved from the mower's blade.
...
Anyway!

Understanding Guilt
Scriptures: John 8:1-11
Guilt over doing something that violates the conscience is a normal emotion. However, living under a cloud of remorse for no discernible reason is not. The Lord designed feelings of culpability and regret to serve as a reminder that a person has done wrong and needs to repent. But Satan twists those emotions to imprison men and women: those living in shame are uncertain of God's love and often lack self-confidence. Good guilt--the Lord's effective tool for prompting repentance--is a gift that helps us find the right path. However, the Devil encourages false guilt, which involves taking responsibility for things outside our control and then suffering self-condemnation for not changing the outcome. This unhealthy type of guilt is also a widespread problem for those in legalistic churches or lifestyles--certain behaviors or thoughts are labeled as wrong, and then people feel ashamed for doing or thinking those things. Self-condemnation stunts a relationship with Jesus. Instead of enjoying the peace of God, people who are trapped by shame fear His rejection and feel driven to prove their worth. Trust is nearly impossible because they are waiting for God's judgment to rain down. Their guilt even colors how they see themselves: rather than saying, "My action is wrong," they say, "I am bad." Jesus did not come to accuse or condemn us. Christ restored our souls and made us righteous before God so that our guilt is removed. If our Savior forgave the woman caught in an adulterous relationship, just imagine how ready He is to take your shame away too (John 8:11).

I spent most of my life thinking I would spend my entire life tearing through several books a week.
Then last fall happened. I got busy, and I've stayed busy, and I've turned into that saddest of souls: a person with no time to read. I felt the loss as soon as it happened, and in my mind, at least, I quit buying books, knowing that any I brought home would go unread.
So how then has this stack grown atop my dresser? Maybe they came from the same place that disappeared socks go? No, wait, in my house, disappeared socks go into my cat's fetish stash, so that can't be right...
