We made a little hike up Tahquitz Canyon outside of Palm Springs. Our hike had a guide who explained all the plants used by native people.

Street shot of a tour guide that was shadowing me while doing street photography in Intramuros, Metro Manila, Philippines (2016). Grab a few shots of him giving me his unending sales pitch. I took the tour. ;-)
Our WonderPana filter system is highly regarded in the landscape photography community. If the person you're shopping for this holiday season has any of the compatible lenses, consider buying them a simple WonderPana kit such as our CPL, UV, or ND kits. These are essential filters for a landscape photographer. Click here to learn more: fotodioxpro.com/collections/wonderpana
A towel, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapors; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (such a mind-boggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.

The Guide Falls are a gentle flow in summer and a raging torrent during winter. A very beautiful site. Also a must see near here is a visit to the cheese factory for cheese buying and tasting. Australia
Met up with Ed at Leesylvania State Park in Woodbridge, Virginia for a sunrise shoot not too long ago. No clouds but plenty of color. Was off my game somewhat, I'll be ready next time!
Au petit matin avec une cliente venue pour voir et photographier la grande faune sauvage. Les sorties que je propose sont sur :
I headed out to the light house at Discovery Park for sunset . I have only been here once before, but haven't really spent any time trying to shoot it until now. I wanted to get out for sunset, but didn't want to drive too far.
It was nice, a little crowded, but nice all the same. The only downside was that I found myself knee-deep in the water trying to get some shots, then had to hike back to my car, soaking wet, in the dark.

A striking low-angle view of a tactile paving strip designed for visually impaired pedestrians. The bold yellow bumps create a mesmerizing pattern leading into the distance, enhancing both safety and urban aesthetics. The dramatic perspective and rich contrast bring out the texture and depth, making this everyday accessibility feature a captivating visual journey.
Fox Glacier (and Franz Joseph glacier in the next valley north) come down from the 2 mile high mountains to near sea level which is rare in the world and means you can park your car and walk to the face of the glacier. Well, almost as it is roped off to stop people being killed by icefalls. For a fee you can be guided on the glacier. You can see the group at the top of the picture.
Edit: re Are glaciers growing or retreating? Have a look at this page www.skepticalscience.com/himalayan-glaciers-growing.htm

Hydrogen Alpha = 10x600s, 36x120s, 75x60s
Oxygen III = 12x300s, 45x120s, 50x60s
