These engraved stone columns can be found at the building known as "The Temple of the Warriors" in the Mayan ceremonial center of Chichen Itza, located in the Mexican state of Yucatan.
The Temple of the Warriors complex consists of a large stepped pyramid fronted and flanked by rows of carved columns depicting warriors. This complex is analogous to Temple B at the Toltec capital of Tula, and indicates some form of cultural contact between the two regions. The one at Chichen Itza, however, was constructed on a larger scale. At the top of the stairway on the pyramid’s summit (and leading towards the entrance of the pyramid’s temple) is a Chac Mool.
Mitten in der peruanischen Wüste liegt der Bahnhof Guerreros. Benutzt wird er noch für gelegentliche Zugkreuzungen, der Erzleerzug von Matarani nach La Joya machte allerdings nur einen kurzen Stopp, um einen Bahnmitarbeiter aufzunehmen.
Somewhere in the middle of the Peruvian desert is the station of Guerreros. Occasionally it is still used to meet trains, the empty ore train from Matarani to La Joya, however, just made a short stop to pick up a staff member.

After dinner with Flickr friend, Justin Waits, we roamed the area of the OKC farmer's market building. We came upon some an old structure that seemed to have been used for warehousing at some point, as it had a number of doors along a loading doc. Most of it was abandoned and full of trash as well as showing some signs of fire damage. But Guerreros was in full swing. Several people punching at bags and or doing strengthening exercise. The gent who seemed to be in charge, welcomed us in (thanks, as usual, to Justin's people skills) and we roamed not only the gym, but the surrounding decay. A young boy about 8 or 10 years old who belonged to someone in the gym, adopted us and gave us a tour of the ruins. His picture will follow.
