0.0005 milliseconds after deep sleep

Always ready for a hike, either its one hour or three.

He is of the breed Finnish Lapphund and his breed is often used as a herder, herding reindeers and sheep.

Oh yes, he is herding me too if he thinks we should go home 😁😂😁

Wishing you all a lovely Sunday this shot was taken at Crowders Mountain.

I'm getting ready to make a big ol' pot of beef barley soup and other goodies. I have a hungry thirsty gang coming to watch the Carolina Panthers take on the Green Bay Packers at 1 pm. They play at home today at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. Always a fun noisy time, have a good one y'all. :-)

He is a force to be reckoned with - yet he doesn't randomly try to bite anyone. He was traumatized as a pup, which triggered insecurity issues.

Friend's doggo; no one can touch him but the owner.

I play ball, and tug with him. We are working on trust issues.

He weighs close to 100lbs

Pit Bull Cross

Not exactly a cute little lap dog! He is however, completely gentle and loveable with his owner

I am guessing he won't receive too many faves

Pack leader of the entire house baby Socrates leads the pack of hairys to observe any and every infraction of her rules monkers (monsters) lurk everywhere. . Her elderly siblings are a bit out of it sometimes so are a piece of cake for her to manipulate. She pumps them up whispering who they need to take down to make our world a safer place. They are good students and appreciate the game.

Buck In Guarddog mode :)

We descended further from Tiolas to Clavaniev (Disentis). On the way we again passed the large pasture where grazing sheep are protected by special dogs. There is a fence, but one that can easily be moved, not a strong one. It's the dogs that protect the sheep against wolves.

Back on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal today ,going Stourport to Kidderminster a very bright but cold day......that is ice on the canal .I came across this narrow boat tied up outside the Bird In Hand pub/restaurant .It backs right on to the canal towpath ,very handy for the boat owners .No sign of anyone on board so i can only think that were having a nice Sunday lunch in the pub while the dogs kept guard of the boat ........Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal,Stourport to Kidderminster,North Worcestershire,England

Alpacas and their guard dogs. I may not have noticed the alpacas, if not for the dogs barking.

Laying on top of the veranda, looking for deers and foxes to enter his garden, if he is lucky he might chase a cat or two.

Life is sure good, full belly and a peaceful kingdom 😁

One of my two Lhasa Apso dogs, taking part in his favourite pastime....

The Lhasa Apso has a long history in his country of origin, Tibet. They have existed at least since the year 800 A.D., and for centuries they lived in isolation with Tibetan Buddhists in the Himalayan Mountains.

Their Tibetan Name Means “Bark Lion Sentinel Dog”.

I have a new guard dog and a lil more grumpier than my baby chihuahua. Strong and the bark is menacing but over all he is a quiet lil puppy....well dog cos he costs a fortune to feed. Here he is guarding me from some others who are minding their own business and just walking past....yeh I know he is too strong for me and yeh I so do agree. But look at those eyes, arent they just adorable...Image captured at The Forgotten sim

The alleyways of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.

This huge German Shepherd dog barked every time we passed by his house but I think he got to know us and was just saying 'Hello, have a nice day'. I am sure if he had been let out he would. have allowed me to pet him and I just love these big German Shepherd dogs.

Trespassing here is obviously a risk

Disturbing the King isn't something you should do

What a guy

😁

A Maremma sheepdog (or Maremmano-Abruzzese sheepdog) watching out for wolves, lynxes or even bears, while the sheep calmly graze. With the return of large predators such as wolves, these dogs are often used to frighten them away. The dogs really see the sheep as their family, I've read.

As you trick or treat this year, you might want to be extra careful of avoiding this dog. He's obviously very hungry and will be glad to meet you at the door, lol.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

Roof top dogs are everywhere in Mexico. Amusing and startling, the best know exactly when to say hello.

PIT BULL - STRONG AND PROUD

I'll just say, he's a little misunderstood

My sons protection dog.....three year old male that weighs over 100 pounds......

A stray dog enjoying the view at Little Adams Peak in Ella, Sri Lanka. There are several stray Dogs that will join you on your hike, seemingly guiding you in the right direction. Taken with a Canon 5D4 and a 16 - 35mm canon wide angle lens. A black and white Lightroom edit of a previously uploaded image.

My sweet Lily.

Dog is on alert and the attic might be home to some visitors. Have the wrong location on the map but don't know how to correct it. Actually near Saylersville, Kentucky.

This was taken from upstairs..but when we are in the kitchen he can see us in the mirror..and will bark at us.. It is soooooooo cute.. awwwwww..lol.

PLEASE be careful when walking past this dog. It's owner has put it in the yard but it is not leashed, so very dangerous. And it looks quite hungry!

Halloween is right around the corner :)

I will be traveling for the next few days so very little Flickr activity for me. Visiting my elderly parents in Michigan. See you later.

Keeping watch of the yard.

Seen when out for a walk and just had to snap the sign , think his duties took him off somewhere else as there was no sign of anyone on duty !!

He was making sure we didn't disturb the goats, he weighed about 60-70 pounds and was very noisy. We took our pictures from the car, so tried to be good citizens :).

……Spotted this little fellow outside a house in Shrewsbury the other day - not so sure he’d like the regular watering's required!! Another phone shot for a change.….. Alan:-)………

Our "guard" dog catching a late afternoon nap. That sofa will never be the same...

Seen in Gardena, a city in the South Bay (southwestern) region of Los Angeles County, California.

Beware of the dog. You have been warned.

Harvey patrols his perimeter. Even I'm too scared to go in!

Benni is watching a tow truck bringing back a car to the house across the street. She has this good window for seeing who's coming up the walk or in front of the house.

I can't tell you how many salespeople she has stopped before they get halfway up the walk. Benni has a BIG bark!

Classic, ancient dog warning. see this right at the front door, you turn and go on.

Been visiting since a child, and it always still amazing. Like any big city, you can walk the streets for eternity and still find something alluring to the eye.
