Back to Grunewald outside of Berlin, my partner (Mina) and I were walking our dog (Bobby) and I decided to bring the camera as forests are one of my favourite environments, the climate inside the forest was unusual, misty, humid and yet cold, so thus there were condensing water droplets on every branch, twig and bush everywhere you looked.
Now, word of advice, when you're in a forest or any environment, do not just use your eyes, listen to your mind, get a feel for the where the light is and isn't, both can be equal partners when going for the shot, listen to the voice of ideas in your head, let your third eye create the imagined image and then go for it with the technology in your hand. The sunlight was still peeking through the remaining leaves of the trees and presented a golden opportunity to use what there was for natural light, combining all the aforementioned elements and my guides whispering for me to "Play with the Sun" this was the result!

As much as creating atmospheres in Photography is essential for me, I also love anything that emits serenity, this is why I think Nature is so popular in this field. This is from the early evening back the River Havel alongside Grunewald, just outside Berlin. This time no Duck but a romantic yacht in the far distance, I could just imagine the sailor just lying down, looking up at the sky whilst the gentlest of breezes pushes you along whilst floating on the calmest of waters, when it comes to serenity, I don't think it gets much better than that!
I hope everyone is well, I just want to say how much in gratitude I am for all my followers, favers and commentators, all of you are highly appreciated and so as always, thank you! :)
Back at the River Havel at Grunewald yesterday, just outside of Berlin, what can I say, I couldn't get out of the car fast enough, the Sun was right there, it was right at that moment, right at the angle I wanted, everything was about as embellishing to the serenity and pictorial aestheticism as one could have asked for.
Then this duck floated peacefully and innocently into the frame as I was setting up the shot, so I took several and this one came out the best. It was such a peaceful moment, that one instance of abundance in the simplicity of a single environment in a moment's time of events.
Nature is abundance and is beautiful, everlasting and incredible, we should do more to respect it!

Invitation to a walk in the Grunewald at the Krumme Lanke!
Invitation à une promenade dans le Grunewald à la Krumme Lanke !
Die Krumme Lanke ist im Südwesten von Berlin, der See liegt in einer Senke und ist mit dem Schlachtensee durch einen Naturkanal und in Richtung Nordosten mit dem Grunewald See und der Hundekehlesee verbunden.
An der Krumme Lanke gibt es drei größere und mehrere kleine Badestellen. Seit mehreren Jahren ist die Uferfläche als Naturschutzgebiet ausgewiesen und durch Zäune abgegrenzt worden. Am Ufer wurden große Flächen Schilf angepflanzt als Brutfläche und zum Schutz der Vögel. Das Gebiet am Rande des Grunwaldes ist als ganzes zum Naturschutzgebiet erklärt worden. Bäume die morsch sind, werden zum Schutz der Menschen gefällt aber sie bleiben liegen und verrotten.

Einladung zu einem Spaziergang im Grunewald an der Krumme Lanke!
Krumme Lanke is in the south-west of Berlin. The lake lies in a depression and is connected to Schlachtensee by a natural canal and, to the north-east, to Grunewald See and Hundekehlesee.
There are three larger and several smaller bathing spots at Krumme Lanke. For several years, the shore area has been designated a nature reserve and demarcated by fences. Large areas of reeds have been planted along the shore as a breeding area and to protect the birds. The area on the edge of the Grunwald has been declared a nature reserve as a whole. Trees that are rotten are felled to protect people, but they remain lying and rotting.

Le Krumme Lanke se trouve au sud-ouest de Berlin, le lac est situé dans une dépression et est relié au Schlachtensee par un canal naturel et en direction du nord-est avec le lac Grunewald et le Hundekehlesee.
À la Krumme Lanke, il y a trois lieux de baignade plus grands et plusieurs plus petits. Depuis plusieurs années, la zone du littoral est désignée comme une réserve naturelle et délimitée par des clôtures. De grandes zones de roseaux ont été plantées le long du rivage comme zone de reproduction et pour protéger les oiseaux. La zone située au bord du Grunwald a été déclarée réserve naturelle dans son ensemble. Les arbres qui sont pourris sont coupés pour protéger les gens mais ils restent couchés et pourrissent.

Mit dem Leerzug (D444 Kiev Pass - Berlin Gesundbrunnen) am Haken war PKP Intercity Lok ES 64 F4 - 154 am 4. Juni 2010 bei Berlin Westend unterwegs gen Abstellung in Grunewald.
Im Hintergrund ist Deutschlands meist befahrene Autobahn - die A100 - zu sehen...
PKP Intercity loc 189 154 had op 4 juni 2010 de internationale trein uit Kiev van Frankfurt (Oder) naar Berlin Gesundbrunnen gebracht. Aansluitend ging het naar het opstelterrein te Grunewald. Op de foto - gemaakt te Berlin Westend - heeft de lege trein het eindpunt bijna bereikt...
Roughly twenty minutes after having taken international train D444 (Kiev - Berlin) from Frankfurt (Oder) to Berlin Gesundbrunnen, PKP IC engine ES 64 F4 - 154 was spotted in Berlin Westend while taking the empty train to the Grunewald yard...
GB (DB Cargo) (Sachsendorf -) Seddin - Berlin-Neukölln (Ladegut: Kies), in Grunewald kurz vor der Einmündung in den Innenring. Damals eine regelmäßige DB-Cargo-Leistung, heute als Sonderleistung der BELog nicht mehr wirklich planbar.
GB (DB Cargo) (Sachsendorf -) Seddin - Berlin-Neukölln (load: gravel), in Grunewald shortly before the junction with the inner ring. At that time a regular DB Cargo service, today as a special service of BELog not really plannable anymore.

Scatches for children and fairytales you can visit during summer time and in winter times concerts and markets.
We visited the surrounding lakes for dogs free time and swimming.

Versteckt zwischen Wald und Seen liegt das kleine Schloss mit permanenter Gemäldeausstellung.
Im Sommer gibt es Scatche und Märchen für Kinder, im Winter Konzerte und Märkte.
Wir besuchten die umliegenden Seen, die für Hundefreizeit und Schwimmen freigegeben sind.
ENG: In the evening at the Grunewald Tower with lots of sun and thunderstorms. In this wonderful weather in Berlin I thought I would take my family on a tour to Wannsee. My very special Father's Day.
The Grunewald Tower is an observation tower on Karlsberg in Berlin's Grunewald district. Situated on the western edge of the Grunewald forest on Havelchaussee 61, the viewing platform offers a view over the Havel at a height of 36 metres. It is a historical tower in southwest Berlin, built between 1897-99 according to plans by Franz Heinrich Schwechten.
GER: Abends am Grunewaldturm mit viel Sonne und Gewitter. Bei diesem herrlichen Wetter in Berlin habe ich mir gedacht, das ich mit meiner Familie eine Tour zum Wannsee Unternehme. Mein ganz besonderer Vatertag.
Der Grunewaldturm ist ein Aussichtsturm auf dem Karlsberg im Berliner Ortsteil Grunewald. Am westlichen Waldrand des Grunewaldes an der Havelchaussee 61 gelegen, bietet sich von der Aussichtsplattform in 36 Meter Höhe ein Blick über die Havel. Es ist ein historischer Turm im Südwesten Berlins, erbaut 1897-99 nach Plänen von Franz Heinrich Schwechten.

Am 18.03.2018 fanden wieder Dampfsonderfahrten der Schöneweider Dampflokfreunde Berlin statt, welche zwei Runden auf dem Berliner Außenring umfassten. Start- und Zielbahnhof der Rundfahrten war diesmal erfrischenderweise der Bahnhof Charlottenburg am westlichen Ende der Stadtbahn. Zum Außenring wurde über Berlin-Spandau und Wustermark gefahren, sodass die Personenzugstrecke Berlin-Charlottenburg - Berlin-Spandau in den seltenen Genuss einer Dampflok kam. Diese Strecke wurde jedoch nach dem Mauerfall zusammen mit der S-Bahn neu aufgebaut und bietet außer viel Beton kaum sehenswerte Motive, der Sonnenstand schränkte die Auswahl dann weiter ein. Ein lange gesplantes, aber nie besuchtes Motiv war die Überquerung der Wannsee-S-Bahn zwischen den Bahnhöfen Westkreuz und Grunewald, wo der Sonnenstand bei der zweiten Runde um 16 Uhr optimal passte. Leider gibt es dort viele Risiken, denn neben abgeschnittenen S-Bahnen unterhalb kann das hintere Gleis von vorne zugefahren werden oder auf dem hintersten Gleis schleicht sich eine S-Bahn ins Bild. Mit +30 kam die schöne 52 8131 mit ihrem Dampfsonderzug endlich durch den Sucher gerollt und es trat kein einziger Störfaktor ein - dafür war ich tiefgekühlt.
