I love invitations to groups. love them! but I don't like those big or sparkly icons. so, as much as I love being invited to groups, and love you for inviting me, I will delete them.

sorry.

still on a fave vacation, trying to clean out everything.

At first this image might seem disturbing or dark but for me, it's a visual representation of how I feel these last few days, that the winter in my mind is passing and it's on to spring, growing and light and bringing with it new life and ideas.

"What's really important is to simplify. The work of most photographers would be improved immensely if they could do one thing: get rid of the extraneous. If you strive for simplicity, you are more likely to reach the viewer." - William Albert Allard

Day 11

____________________________

As a way to cope with circumstances beyond my control, survive and work to keep fighting for life I decided to try to take at least one photo (or more) each day. I call this “a photo (or more) a day.” Practicing this form of therapeutic photography helps me work to focus on the present moment, gives me something familiar and enjoyable to focus on as I use photography skills that have become like second-nature to me and being able to view the images I capture helps me recall what I was thinking, feeling and noticing at the moment when I created the photos. More of the photos from this series can be seen on my Instagram account

I may not always have the energy, time or capacity to share photos from this series—especially with the very challenging circumstances my family and I are experiencing—and will do my best to continue taking a photo (or more) a day even if I’m not able to share.

Moving Forward

Shadow of grasses on a corn crib.

To share with JON! Our Horoscope!

Lucky Jupiter is moving into your sign this week. Basically, this marks the beginning of a new 12-year cycle of growth for you. This is a cycle during which you are intended to discover who you really are as a person. Jupiter is naturally associated with wealth and expansion but it is also a symbol of wisdom. Therefore, this year will be a time of learning and gaining new experiences for you. It will also be excellent in terms of your own personal good fortune. For example, important people and resources will be drawn to you almost by magic. Things will suddenly fit in place, which is why you will be considered to be "lucky."

LOL!! SO Jon.... who do you think we are?!! I'm sure we'll have a "magical" time finding out and enjoying our good fortune...and by the time the 12 year cycle ends... whoever we are will be really really OLD!! hahaha!!!

“For a seed to achieve it’s greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, it’s insides come out and everything changes. To someone who doesn’t understand growth, it would look like complete destruction”

Ferns and Wildflowers grow on the once devastated ground where a forest was burnt by wildfire.

I spotted these patterns in an old tree stump above Rock Creek on the way to Mosquito Flat trailhead. Have to wonder why it would grow like this . . .

(Made Explore on 11/16/08.)

I can't name the evergreen tree.

So-called pollen cones, I think. More info welcomed.
