Black Tomatoes for Black Friday! 🍅 This variety known as Indigo Rose Tomatoes and we grew them on an aeroponic Tower Garden.
Black tomatoes are absolutely delicious and stunningly beautiful.
These tomatoes are black due to the heightened presence of an antioxidant known as a Anthocyanins which are responsible for the purple/black/blue pigmentation in vegetables and fruits. Anthocyanins may have antioxidant and anti-aging benefits and may even enhance memory.
Common fruits and vegetables rich in anthocyanins include blueberries, black grapes, blackberries, plums, purple cabbage, eggplant, purple cauliflower, purple potatoes, and black tomatoes.
