Some may remember a photo I posted last August of a Cape Leeuwin that was self sown in the front corner of the garden. It is now about 15 inches (~40cm) tall and growing strong. I will add the original image in the comments.

The huge part of the tree that appears to be laying on the ground is really growing out of the side of the tree that way. I checked it thinking it was broken, it's not, it's attached quite securely to the vertical part of the tree.

Abundant Wild mushroom ( identified as Dutch “zwavel kopjes “) growing on a rotten tree trunk. Even though these are so delicate, they are still capable of pushing up and away a significant piece of tree bark .

They just keep growing. I wish they were on our property so I could do a time-lapse. Last year there were only a couple on that spot. This took a 60 image stack and it brought me right the end.
Australian Hobby (Falco longipennis) juvenile
I did take the camera when we went to do the school shopping.
Only the one Hobby was around as we headed to the uniform store so I took a few shots. It was still sitting there as we came back. Its crop looks full so I think it had recently eaten.
I've been checking on the Hummingbird chicks every day. I can't believe the difference just two days makes! Just prior to a storm rolling in.....
